I feel like I'm one of the only oldheads who's just kinda universally up on this set. I think mechanically it looks extraordinarily fun, if not the most creative thing ive ever seen. I think the flavor is super on point, if a bit more youth oriented. None of those ifs are real detractors to me, and all of the preceeding statements are just points of hype. Really looking forward to otter storming someone into next month.

the "enters" instead of etb i cant stand. the simple verb Enters is too ambiguous; having the information of Where something enters into i think is important. without previously understanding the mechanics of the game, you literally read the card to understand the card. okay, the card enters - enters What?..

paws is cool mechanically, but i feel the choice to use paws for it limits its usability in future sets

I really want to love Bloomburrow, but something feels off. I don't like the wording on offer a gift, and the paw prints feel "un-magic" to me in that way that is totally subjective and almost meaningless even to myself. I think I've likely fallen out of love with Magic as it exists today, but not Magic as a game/rules engine. It feels like something broke at Battle for Zendikar and hasn't been regained, but that's probably a totally arbitrary thing for me.

Please note that there are quite a number of Homelands cards played in the top 8 - Arrows, Bears, Shade, mostly - without a deckbuilding rule requirement to do so (like in the first PT, 5 cards from each expansion). These cards were just good in the meta.

There was a story back in the day that Changpeng would "accidentally" let his opponents see the Sleight of Minds during sideboarding, so that the opponents would not put the relevant hatecards in (mostly Gloom probably). Also, on the handicapped deckbuilding: Yes, it happened, but definitely not 6-12 cards. More like 4.

It's so funny going from watching Bosh's videos and finally coming here after seeing the ad and really enjoying the video and then seeing an ad to watch his channel. Y'all are awesome! Definitely a ton of fun to learn about championships from before I existed and how Magic was back in the day

Great series as always! One of the best channels on CZcams. I think there may have been 2 small rules errors at 1:14:33. Patrick taps Sulfurous Spring for black for Drain Life but didn't take damage, though it wouldn't have been necessary anyway since he then Drain Life-d Serra Angel for 5 gaining 5 but you can't Drain a creature for more than it's toughness. Obviously not a big deal, just something I saw while watching the matches. Entertaining and informative as always!

When does Cedric get to win the Street Fighter battle in the intro?

I love this show but it really trips me up when cutting between the board and the close-ups because Patrick and Cedric change sides. Cedric is on the left in the above view but then appears on the right when cutting to his face. It is somewhat jarring. I'm sure you have technical reasons why you need to film this way and it ultimately is a minor thing but it stands out to me.

1) as Limited gets taken more and more seriously both from a player and a designer perspective, do you have any plans to include the Limited parts of these tournaments in your duels? 2) can you please choose less loud and/or repetitive background music for the games

this has to been one my favorite episodes so far. Only thing i would complain about is the loudness of the music during the match, it makes it hard to hear what you guys are saying

These games are Brutal! Only us old timers know what it’s like to untap on like turn 4 with no lands. Or to get your lands randomly discarded away. 😅 And we liked it!!!! We didn’t whine when people killed our lands!
