Back when everyone wanted ssj3 I wanted this! Too many times DBZ slept on Gohan as a child until his ssj2 transformation.

I honestly don't blame Gohan for slacking off on his training due to the fact that Goku promised ChiChi that Gohan would study after he came back from Cell
You'd think after Buu he would've maintained himself though. Granted that's 100% on Super and not an issue on Z
@@Schwartzbruder1 in all honesty I agree with you that after Buu he should have at least trained a little even though he has done well in the tournament of power but I would have been happy if he was eliminated by Jiren before Vegeta but hey baggers can't be choosers

@@Schwartzbruder1 but doesnt he gain ssj power combined with his mystic when he does so? Would he still get stronger or did he just think he didnt need it?
@@miquelr2353 supreme Kai in this same scene made a remark about the transformations being overrated. More or less SSJ gave Gohan next to no benefit at this point.

And then his mystic power proceeded to mean absolutely nothing and Gohan became a joke in Dragonball Super. Seriously, if I could travel back in time, I'd convince Toriyama (may he rest in peace) to write Gohan better

the only reason gohan's hair didn't change color is because he had that outfit on, so when they sold the toys and you wanted mystic gohan, just buy the one with him wearing the kai gear

Gohan is at least 10 times stronger than Goku SSJ3 at this point. SSJ Gotenks is stronger than Goku SSJ3 and Gohan is stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks. Goku said he never tried to really kill Buu because of his reasons, he never claimed that he would have succeeded. It's pretty clear from his fight with Kid Buu that he would not have stood a chance against Fat Buu (who is more durable than Kid Buu, more power reserves), he vastly underestimated Buu's stamina and ability to regenerate.

It literally took a village to raise Gohan: - Piccolo started him off for fighting - Guru popped the cork on his potential - Goku helped Gohan become a Super Saiyan and their training helped him ascend - Elder Kai brought out the rest of Gohan's latent potential
Gohan should have temporarily beaten Buu, anything other than getting absorbed a few episodes later achieving nothing with all this power.
Gohan Powers Up is the DBZ soundtrack equivalent of You're the Voice.

I’m glad that someone made this clip… Goes to show what I’ve ALWAYS been saying.. The ONLY time Gohan actually EARND his power was SS1/SS2… All his other powers were literally GIVEN to him. He never WORKS for his power!!!
He worked for it, but it was also kind of a freebie. I mean he did train with the Z sword for a while and was determined to do so to impove. SS1 and SS2 just kind of happened because of his hidden power as well.
In a day of training with the z sword he was stronger than goku base for base form .

Yea because super buu was stronger than kid buu an ultimate gohan was winning until he got absorbed which made super buu as ultimate gohan stronger than kid buu as well people don’t understand that kid buu wasn’t the strongest form he was just the most direct an most evil which made it look like he was stronger but goku didn’t need a vision for kids buu that’s the point the fusion is what proves the point any time you fuse that means the opponent is way to strong for instance broly they had to fuse
