It's important to note that Bright Spring is usually higher contrast but still not as high contrast as a Bright Winter. Another great way I finally settled on Bright Spring instead of Bright Winter was my ability to wear a warm off white. Bright Winters shine in true white whereas a it just makes my skin look a little too yellow.

I have a hard time determining my undertone. My veins look light blue on my wrists, I'm very pale white but I tan easily and professionals always advise me a warm foundation (like golden). So I always believed I had a warm undertone. The problem is these foundations never seem to quite fit. I also struggle to find colors that match my skin tone. Black, deep blue and purple, bright red and pastel colors tend to make me look sick. Whereas warm colors like bright yellow, orange or pink don't look good either somehow. I have noticed that desaturated pink, dark red or mauve and greens look the best on me. They make my skin look healthier, especially kaki and olive greens. Some deep turquoise too. Shades of browns and whites can suit me too. It's annoying because I love bright color but I never seem to rock them... I have natural rosy cheeks, hazel eyes and light brown hair. I wonder if I have an olive undertone, what do you think about it ?

The colors you showed aren't that different in temperature. They're different in brightness. You suit muted colors more than brights.

Lovely video! Don‘t get your yellow overtone mixed up with your cool undertone. The drapes don‘t lie! A tip for you to check if you’re cool winter: cool winters don‘t do well in true black and stark white! If navy is obviously better than black on you, that suggests cool winter. As coolness is the dominant feature, black just doesn’t offer evident coolness. If you see little to no changes for navy and black (and black is really popping), deep winter it might be! Love this video. I was misinformed by someone in the past that I should be wearing more warm toned stuff and I always hated how my makeup looked on me. That is until I learned that I’m actually a deep winter! I’m so so excited to get some of this stuff and this video was so helpful 🫶🏽

As a dark winter one thing I noticed before knowing my season is that the autumn colors really didn't suit me well, I can take the darker colors of the dark autumn but the lighter ones and the type of greens made me look so sallow as I already have a yellowish overtone, whilst the cooler colors balanced it out very well.

I bought bright pumpkin orange lipstick today and I am flashed away by how sportive and fresh it looks on me! did you try it? I hate curry tones and will definitively spare them.

Men have undertones too wtf. And you can have warm undertones and cool overtones.

I think the biggest issue with getting the right color season is that a lot of color charts-at least online-are wrong. That color chart you have for deep autumn is incorrect, a lot of those colors do not look good on deep autumns, and deep autumn borders true autumn and dark winter on the color wheel. It’s interesting because the first color chart I ever looked at and eventually bought has been spot on to what looks good on me as a deep autumn. I’m also a deep autumn with a warm olive undertone and the color chart I followed has not steered me wrong.

I’m pretty sure I’m a deep winter but I look great in a monochrome look (darkish ginger hair makes my brown skin and dark brown eyes glow) and neon green is my color but also so is white. This was so helpful though but I’m still torn Edit: Nvm, just looked at Deep Autumn fits and those colors wash me out so bad

I have the same going on. I was categorized as dark autumn but cant wear mustard, bronze, nude pr dark lipstick. dark brown works but no beige or yellow beige. I have a medium/deep ash hair and skin tone from my dad who was fair blue eyed just got the dark hazel eyes from my mom. so just the wyes are dark autumn, the rest is dark winter or even a dark shade of true summer. and I was told to dye my ash hair burgundy, which I did as a teen and I looked terrible, ill and I looked old with it. could it be that someone can be this and that at the same time? honestly, I hate olive, mustard and curry tones. even bronzers doesnt work on me at all… and I dont want to dye my hair again. I finally am so proud if this dark ash tone as I find it outstanding and rare. even the warm lipsticks absolutely doesnt work for me as I am not dark or warm enough. so, I think I may stick with a wild mix of darker shades, no black, but also none of those warm curry tones or red browns. I hate those colours. I feel sick when I wear such stuff. Thank you so much for this video! I feel so good now.
