Even though I'm interested in what the author has to say, having to read this for a class and trying to keep up his expansive vocabulary can be pretty draining. I also like your voice and how you read this. It sounds professional without being too robotic. Just wanted to say that you are much appreciated!!

It's so depressing listening to the way the swedish police handled the rapes of young girls at the music festival in 2014. The police did nothing and organised mass rapes at other festivals were allowed to happen the following years. By covering it up, parents didn't even know to go with their kids or not allow them to go. My heart is broken with frustration at the cover up. A cover up and NO convictions either! From 421 reported rapes in 1975 to over 6500 in 2014. Nearly equal to Losoto! Somali men are 26 times more likely to rape than Danish men. How can governments ignore this? why do medias conspire with govts to cover this up! I believe the Irish gardai would handle it the same way, even now, even with all of the lessons we could have learnt.

I believe you skipped a portion of the book. From 3.3 to 3.3.3 is missing.

I appreciate the work and effort into this audiobook and after the recent English riots wanted to go over Maurray's work. My suggestion is to include the full context and not sensor due to its unpleasant nature. The subject is unpleasant. In this section you omit the beheading of Fusilier Lee Rigby. The details are graphic but need to be heard or only people like me who lived nearby to the incident or fellow Brits will know and have context of the chapter and book overall. Between 2005 - 2015 a radical change happened in Muslims across Europe like a contagion that wouldn't make sense to non EU or UK readers. I lived and was raised a few miles from where Fusilier Lee Rigby was beheaded im South London and am of Somali heritage. I came to the UK in 89' as a child refugee and eventually joined the British Army, partly due to the War On Terror and understanding like it or not its my generations war, partly due to a sense of gratitude to the UK for helping me and my family and repaying my debts to the nation that fed, clothes, healed and educated me for free. After the Fusilier Lee Rigby murder I started getting threats and the police were reluctant to act until physically attacked. Like Hersi I became a refugee and fled to the US, now two time refugee but now as a British citizen, failed by the government I went to war for. Disturbing and gruesome details are needed to explain just how bad part of Europe became during this time. The political context won't have the same impact without the horrendous acts mentioned or explain why governments around Europe all acted in the same counter intuitive way; because if you did then you'll start religious and racial bonfire. "Say the wrong thing and you're butchered next" so don't antagonize the bullies and maybe he'll leave me alone today. I'm assuming you're an American. As a American imagine learning about slavery and what lead to the American Civil War without accounts of what happened to slaves. It would be a charming philosophical debate on States rights than the reality of the horrors of what it was and why so many died to end it.

The problem is Islam as a corrupt antichrist ideology.

You are a good narrator and i would have followed your reading of the entire book but for the dropping in of your opinions here and there. I wanted to listen to a professional reading of the book and you failed in this regard. I would recommend leaving out your subtle hints of shock or disapproval and just read the book as it is. There is much we can all disagree with in life but if you intend to continue in this field you must be professional and remove yourself from the picture. If you can't do this you could always consider doing a critique of the book rather than a reading. I'm sure many would welcome your personal opinion on the subject. Thank you and have a good day.

Are you not doing the same by mitigating the gravity of the violence through censorship or not wanting to offend your listeners?

Please stop censoring the text. By doing so you effectively minimize the problems. Your presentation is fine, however, please allow we grateful listeners to make up our own minds.
