Q: I find that email marketing is Chicken & Egg... The more subscribers you have the more you pay ConvertKit (which I have been doing for 10 years).. but if you aren't yet bringing in a ton of income from your newsletter the monthly bill has to come from somewhere. Because of this, I find myself constantly trimming my list so that I stay under a certain level that is within my budget. So the question is ... How to grow your list AND bring in income when everytime you grow your list you end up paying more for the list itself. Today, I sent out an email to almost 7K sub's trying to sell my first Notion template ... this is a new adventure for me and I have all of my ecommerce through CK. My hope is to sell a few templates to offset the list. It's hard in EDU to think about making 10,000 from the list. Is there a chart out there that says "X subs should be marketed at X dollars" that can be sent to companies to bring in sponsorships? Thx for the great video guys.

Dinner party scenario is a great way to find the niche! If your parents can't tell someone, try to make it clearer. I still do that to this day with my Dad and if he can't tell his buddies, I change my messaging lol

Great piece of advice. Put the reps in, build the habit, focus on what you're doing on camera before spending all that dough!

You talk as if he does everything himself. That's impossible. There isn't enough time in a day. So the question is who's doing what for him. This isn't how to run a business by oneself but with a team. You didn't mention this and I believe you should have. It's easier to be "amazing" when others who you pay follow through for you.

Ryan is a huge inspiration for me too, his output is unbelievable and his storytelling is amazing. An example to follow.

@MattRagland Looks a lot like doing content clusters/pillars for blog content. Do you ever do automated evergreen emails based on/triggered by other factors? For example, having a series of 12 emails in which one goes out on the first of the month for a year (and then repeats or something) to your whole list. Also, what tool are you using for the mind mapping?
