My name is Petar Pavlovic, I’m Kitesurfing since 2008 and working as an instructor since 2012
I first decided to become a kitesurf instructor in order to kite everyday
But also because I love sharing my Kitesurfing knowledge and experience with others
After so many years of teaching kitesurfing, I always feel responsible for my students even after they finished the lessons
And I realise that no matter how well we teach our students can easily forget about Basics and Safety in Kitesurfing
This is why I decided to Launch my own Kitesurfing CZcams channel, where you will be able to see everything that every Kitesurfer should know to have a Safe and smooth Kitesurfing session
And there is much more coming.

Is the shoulder mount footage more shaky than the harness mount?
Honestly I didn’t recognize any difference
Your one of a handful of special people and instructors. Always amazing insight
Thank you 🙏🏻
🔥🔥🔥🔥
So im new to kite surfing. Flew my kite 5 times now. when I launch almost 90 degrees to the wind I get pulled away. I don't touch the bar. There is a lot of slack on the back lines. I fly a 12m kite the winds were 5 to 10. Any ideas?
Sorry, I didn’t understand your situation.
This shows exactly how to not launch your kite . Always launch in direction of the ocean. In your video total wrong. The blue north kite should be positioned closest the sea. Not in front of obstacles
Hello, you are right; you should not launch your kite too close to an obstacle. Always keep a safe distance around your wind window. Can you please explain why you should ALWAYS launch your kite closer to the water and keep yourself, as the kiter, closer to obstacles?
ok, I`ve been using the Navigator Pro Bar for 2 weeks: the front lines became a bit longer like yours. You told the bar worked perfectly for you. I thought all 4 lines must be equal sizes.. do I need to switch the knots on the back lines to make them equal with the front lines?
Yes theoretically all 4 lines have to be equal length. Now when you ride with the Pro bar and you pull the bar completely, does your kite back stall?
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar No, it doesn't. I released 1 knot on back lines (standard) to make them a bit longer, so now I have similar settings, shown in your video at 2' 32'' By the way: did you remove the additional knots you had made on the back lines after 1 week?
@@lomaleks1332 I was having a knot on the back lines of the kite, and yes after a week I removed the knots.
Thank you so much Bro,I have some ideas for help myself😄 From Thailand 🇹🇭
Great 🤗
Thanks for the tips, Petar. Where is this beach, it looks nice?
Mostly filmed in Lefkada and Naxos, Greece :)
I was in Pag and saw Kitesurf. I'm curious 🧐which KiteBoard is the best to buy? I have 75 kg.
Depends, if you are still learning how to kitesurf you want a bigger board, if you already feel confident in riding doing transitions and looking to start with doing tricks, the size of the board for your weight would be between 133-137cm, also a bit depending on the shape of the board.
Same here - I was shocked and impressed that you presented how “loosing your kite” looks like 😅
Yess, so that you don’t have to experience it 😅
I use Duotone click, and I can’t imagine using a bar without auto unspin ever again so I will definitely go for navigator pro
Good choice 🙌🏼
I tried Click bar, Navigator and COS bar from Cabrinha. IMO the best one is the COS, follow by the Click. While riding with the Navigator I tried to release the security more then one time and it didn’t open. Did some online search and looks like the Navigator as some defect on the security… you have to be lucky but better don’t joke with security
want to know where exactly this safari kite take place? el gouna?
We have been boarding in Hurgada and later going on some islands north of El guna
My last self rescue was much scarier than the rest. I was kicking with all my might to keep my head above water and burning out quickly. The water kept crashing over my head and I couldn’t stay up any more. I reeled in the line without wrapping, as fast as I could, to reach the kite before I fully went under. The lines were not too tangled nor did they wrap around my legs.
Uhhh, would be better that next time you kite with the buoyancy aid?
Thanks for the video. At one of the launch sites, the wind at low height is weak due to the wind shadow and the wind high up is strong. What happens during the launch is that the kite initially drifts downwind but then picks up lots of wind and hot launches. Any recommendations? The site is far from the water and there is no way to launch toward the water.
I would pull completely the trim line when launching in this kind of conditions.
Wish I had watched your video yesterday. One concussion later I am now doing the homework I should have done. Any number of your tips would have turned a bad day into a good one, especially holding chicken loop in hand. Thanks!!
great, I hope you will forever be safe :)
😂😂
Danke!
Thank you so much for your support 🙏🏻♥️
What is the real difference between a 11 and 12 m kite? And is 12,10,8 or 11,9,7 better for 80kg?
The difference between 11m and 12m depends on the brand and model, but I personally prefer to have a 12m kite. I’m also 80kg and I choose 12,10,8m kites for my self 🙌🏼
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar what board size do you ride?
@@jorgenschippers7518 I ride 136cm Atmos
So nice 😊
:))
how about self rescue with a flysurfer style non-inflatable kite?
Unfortunately I don't know a complete process with non-inflatable kites as I never experience it. I believe that the rolling of the bar is exactly the same, but what is the best to do when you reach your kite I cannot tell you. sorry
@kitesurfexperiencebypetar thanks for replying anyway. Great video!
Where in Greece is the best place to experience this sport in your opinion? I am completely new in the field, and I also want to experience other water sports attractions
From what I have seen in Greece, Lefkada is the best spot to start with your first kitesurf lessons, there are definitely also a lot more perfect spots for beginners in Greece but personally I didn’t see all of them. Naxos is also good as there is wind almost every day all day long during the summer, just sometimes there is so much wind that can become extreme.
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar that’s help a lot thank you
The shoulder mount broke the connection part of the insta360 original selfie stick in a matter of minutes (18 minutes in the water). It broke when I fell while riding, not even a jump. Luckily I tied the camera with a shoelace to my harness. Spent 600+ euros for 18 mins of footage and now not #SailVideoSystem nor #insta360 want to return me any of my money. I do not recommend!
Hello Stefano, sorry to hear your experience :( As I understood you have been using the shoulder mount of Sail Video System but the stick of insta360?
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar Yes exactly that. I bought the shoulder mount that you screw into it the original selfie stick from insta360
@@stefanorumi506 hmmm, I also have this one from insta360, but I have never used it on my shoulder mount. I have been always using the original stick I got from Sail Video System and after platy of hard crashes never broke.
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar they dont seem to sell that stick separately though 😔
@@stefanorumi506 where did you buy your shoulder mount? As the shoulder mount should always come with it original stick from Sail Video System
coach plz mak a video about downloop
sorry, I will not be able to do the episode about this topic anytime soon :((
Bro, this video is amazing! Good tips! very very good. Tomorrow i will try in Cumbuco-Ce!
Nice, thank you. did the tips work in your practice?
Well done, bro! Greetings from Ukraine! Please come kite to us after our victory. We have great kite spots in Azov area (Arabatska strilka is the best spot, all directions work). See you soon.
Sounds great! I will check it out :)
How do you know which back line to pull?
You want to pull what ever back line if the kite is straight in front of you in the power zone. if the kite is on the side of the edge of the wind window, 3 or 9 oclock, you want to pull the higher line.
@@kitesurfexperiencebypetar Thank you! My kite inverted 2 days ago and I thought if I pull the QR that it will sort itself out. That didn't work. Next time I will try this.
Thanks
thank you for watching :))
Very instructive your videos! Thanks for what you do!
thank you so much :)
The new water location is too cute. Please post more pictures ❤
:))
What is this location?
Dominican Republic, Las Terrenas 🤗
Absolutely class videos, thanks for sharing..... I'm going to come in and pump the kite i think 😂..... It's a super slow puncture in the leading edge.
let me know if you managed to fix your kite? :)
I have an extremely slow leak in the leading edge, I can't find it by spraying soapy water all over it. I was thinking of removing the bladder, can the blade be patched or does it need replacing if there's any holes?
I believe you found the episode you been looking for? :)
I think that 8-12h from 0 to independent kitesurfer is not realistic. I’d say in average it’s more like 16-20h. On average ppl with 8-12h experience can ride the board but struggle to go upwind thus I would not call them independent
Yes, unfortunately you are right, with many instructors around the world people are not independent even after more than 20 hours of kitesurfing lessons, that’s sad.
What I usually do is to position the kite so the flagout line is on top. Then when you pull the release 9 out 10 times the kite immediately lays down with leading edge down and into the wind. It's then still recommended to walk down the safety line in stronger winds but this way there is no tension on the line and the kite is not dangling around. The way you did it, the flagout line was on the lower halve of the kite, so it rolled over the other way. I don't know if this was intentional or not but I find my method works a bit better and safer.
Hello, the self-landing technique you mentioned is, I believe, the same as the one I showed in one of my short videos. Did you see it? Unfortunately, this method doesn’t work well in strong wind conditions. The kite might fall aggressively in the power zone, which could damage it, but it’s true that it will stay in the half beach position. You can see a full explanation and example in my episode "Basic Self-Landing of the Kite."
Leading edge down works better in lighter conditions, when the wind is properly pumping better to have it like on the video
1:04 where can I get the shoulder harness?
Sail Video System, and you can use my code “KE5” to get 5% discount 🙌🏼
Addiction is real!! 😍😎
saying "your friends are pushing you to do it" like its the most normal human experience and everyone relates is insane lol
Hello, are you working as an kitesurf instructor? :)
I learned so much from you, ready for my first lesson in Albania. Hvala susjed
That's great! Uzivaj :))
Thanks
No problem :)
Floridan Logan Paul is that you?
yess :)
Hi! I would love to win a kitesurfing lesson with Petar Pavlovic in Las Terrenas because I am a true wind addict. I am from Argentina and I learned to kitesurf a year ago. I moved from my hometown to be able to spend more time on the water, and I also changed jobs to have my afternoons free for more practice. This summer, I want to learn old school tricks and try kiteloops. Currently, my level is intermediate: I can ride toeside, do small jumps of 3 to 4 meters, recover my board, and ride upwind in strong winds of up to 35 knots. I have two Core XR7 kites, 9 and 12 meters. This lesson with Petar would be an amazing opportunity to take my skills to the next level. Thank you for the chance!
Sounds good, will keep you posted :)
I started lessons, I already am 🤣
Hehe Nice 🤗
Best way is to book first lesson and try it out
also good :)
After first lesson it'll be to late to quit
Love your content while already being addicted. Now it is time to make my girlfriend addicted to the sport as well.
Nice, I hope you do not have to push her to do it but that she is really keen to do it 💪🏼
I am part of the AAK club as well (Anonymous Addicted to Kite) 🤣🤣
hehe :))
Nice video 😊
Thanks 😊
