Hello my name is Michael,
I am a bladesmith, blacksmith, carpenter, construction worker, leather worker, and professional archer. On this channel I will show some of the work I do, and promote my business I am starting up (Bosco Forge). I am currently in college, and it can be hard to promote a business, and do school work. However, every break I get, is a chance to do more work. Thanks for watching and God bless!

Sorry I haven't uploaded in a while. I was trying to plan a training video for people who want to learn this craft by posting a video of me teaching. However, my friend and I could not work out a time to do it. Also, I hurt my hand and couldn't work in the garage for a while. Please let me know what you think of these. I know that they are not a matching set due to the differing handle colors, ...

This video is a sum up of the previous series I have been making. If you want to see the explanations of the artistic expression in the piece, look at the series. This sword is being built for a college group I am apart of, and since it is going to be a wall hanger, there is no point in heat treat. This is the reason for no demo, combined with the reason for it being a ceremonial sword that I d...

yes work buddy
I know that it has been a while since I posted. I wanted to make a teaching video for people who want to learn the craft, but I couldn't schedule a time that worked with my friend. Also, I cut my hand and could not do work in the garage for a while. This is probably the last video for a while since I will be going to college soon. Thank you everyone for your continued support. Also, I appreciate the positive comments, but do not be afraid to criticize my work. I have been teaching myself this craft for 2 years now, and lack a teacher. This is the best way for me to have my work reviewed by a judge.
BOSCOOOOOOOOOO
Lookin Good, Been there done that to. From junk to useable tools.
I know it's basic, but it really is fun to do. Rather than letting something rot in a garage, you can turn it into something that someone will use forever.
Illegal to carry, sell or even give away in the UK. Six months jail time enjoy!
Well, luckily, I am not in the UK.
I'd grind that tip to a meaner point, would be a lot more useful if you could stab as well as slash.
Do you mean the first or second blade? The first one I agree, however, the second one seemed fine. There was a taper which made it a more pronounced tip.
Ilegal in the UK,.

Yeah, I don’t know what this means.
WTF,is that shit,i beleve you have alot of money to waiste but this?Bether lurn how its made waths must be proportion, this is childish
Stupid ass!
What did you spray on it at 2:30?
Glass cleaner. I sometimes use WD40. When sanding at high grit, the paper gets clogged up. The cleaner… cleans it out.
Bro is witerally making a hammer, I’m gonna lose it
Very nice work. I liked the detail on the handle, clever. If I might make a point or two, I think that the blade should be narrower. The walking stick looked a little bit too "fat" and bulky. Also, the handle was excellent but looked like a weapon in itself. I think those two factors combined would draw too much attention to your walking cane. Just a plain crooked handle and a thinner profile and you'd be onto an absolutely undetectable winner.
Thank you for the commentary. One of the reasons I post my work to CZcams is to get feedback. I will take this in consideration for my next project. Thank you and God bless.
С такой дубиной и меч не нужен.
It looks more like a war hammer or club than a walking cane. A cane sword is supposed to conceal the fact you're carrying a weapon, not advertise it!
I would love to commission one of these
I was looking at those bricks and thinking ''No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're going to hit one of those!''
I knew it was a bad idea, but I was running out of time, it was going to thunderstorm.
Você é muito bom, parabéns !
silly sword waste of fresh fruits
The watermelon was crushed on one side, and the pineapple was on sale for being old. I appreciate your comment, I worked hard on my “silly sword.”
Not bad!
Thanks, I worked hard on this.
I know that it’s late, but this video was posted in the 4th of July, and I just wanted to take a moment to thank anyone who has given their life for this country.
awesome cane sword
Thank you!
Pretty badass, man. 👍
Thank you, I appreciate the positive feedback.
hay great video, great sword what was the damage to your sword when it sparked? also I like the cleanliness of the garage.
It scratched up the blade, but the edge was completely fine.
Well done 👍👍👍

How's summer going?
Oh, it’s been a lot of work. I have a lot of projects, work, and teaching.
So, a few people were asking about why there isn't a heat treat. If you want a full explanation, wait till the third part.
Timbers shivered
How amazing, what a great piece!
Thanks, I worked really hard on it.
Did you do the heat treat off camera?
Forgot to say it in the video, but this sword is being built for a group at my college. And because of this, there will not be an edge put on it. Therefore, it would. Be redundant to heat treat.
Love the symbolism of the project!
Thank you, I put a lot of thought into it.
@@BoscoForge Reason I was asking about the heat treat on Part 1 is the engraving you are looking to do. You may consider spray painting the blade and then copy the prayer over the layer of paint, then you'd scrape off the paint that reveals the steel under the lettering. Once that is done you can place the blade with the relief and the exposed lettering into a mixture of ferric choride and distilled water to etch the exposed steel. I've only ever done this myself with hardened steel so I'm not sure how it will react with a soft blade, but I typically let my blades sit 12-24 hours to get a satisfactory etch depth. Good luck!
@@hancockheritageknifeco Unfortunately, the blade is made of mild steal, so the etch wouldn't really show. See, this sword is going to be entrusted to a bunch of college boys, I don't want to have a hardened edge on it.
If there are any knights of the Holy Queen in the comments, let me know.

Nice work! Love Turning.
this is literally amazing can’t wait to see it you could also ebonize one side of the set but that’s up to you since it might get rid of the natural wood look
nice knife but it is not a Fairbairn Sykes, the is no ricasso with gimping, the over all shape of the blade is wrong, the Fairbairn Sykes is much narrower and very pointed. plus the Fairbairn Sykes had a metal handle and the pommel is much to wide and rounded, it should be pointed
I know the blade shape isn’t all there, and as far as the wood handle goes, not everyone has a large piece of brass to use as a handle. Sorry to disappoint.
Nice work dude. You have done a great work 😍😍
Dope AF knife, Bosco Forge! Now you've gotta stitch up an equally dope sheath for it as well (if you've not done so already!)
The scabbard is in the works.
I agree, awesome.
awsome
Thanks!
Excellent stuff big dawg
