Welcome to "Poppy Goats Homestead," formerly known as the RC channel for RCSparks TV. We've transitioned from RC content to sharing our journey on our 200-acre homestead, featuring 10+ acres of high bush blueberries, blackberries, and 130 acres of forest. As we embrace rural living, we're excited to showcase the challenges and beauty of life on the farm.

Flash Flood Ravages Access to Our Land: Emergency ROAD Install & I Pay - Nova Scotia Hurricane 2024
A road washout stops us in our tracks. Taking matters into my own hands and fixing this issue is top priority so we can get back to harvesting wood and out upcoming blueberry crop. This extreme weather event was caused by Hurricane Beryl, a record-breaking Category 5 hurricane that wreaked havoc across the Caribbean and the United States, then into Eastern Canada. Beryl was the earliest Category 5 hurricane on record in the Atlantic, bringing unprecedented intensity and destruction. We are located in Nova Scotia, Canada
Witness the dramatic transformation of our backyard as unprecedented flash flooding turns our serene ponds and creek into a raging river! The torrential waters washed out our crucial bridge, cutting off access to our wood harvesting area and blueberry fields. This video captures the chaos, the challenge, and the ultimate resolution.
I embark on an urgent mission to secure a massive 24" diameter, 16' long corrugated plastic culvert. Despite already having two culverts (a 36" and a 24"), the sheer volume of water necessitated this additional culvert to handle the flood.
The action unfolds as I use my Cat 242D skid steer to install the new culvert and rebuild the road. Before setting the culvert in place, I personally leveled the area by hand with a shovel, ensuring a perfect fit. This video is packed with intense moments, hands-on engineering, and a satisfying resolution as I attempt to conquer the flood's aftermath on the homestead

Yes, I attached the longer bent hangers, with a nut only, but left it "loose" until I had all the two long ones on the outside and smaller in the middle. I only added final tightness after I had the curtain rail, in place.
We had some flooding down here, too! Nothing as bad as this though. So glad you're all okay!! ❤❤❤

I have a pretty modified TRX4M. Now I understand they’re different but would I be able to run a splitter cable from the front and rear servo and connect it to the steering/servo channel to gain the 4ws capabilities? I don’t have a 3rd channel or the ability to trim my end points with stock electronics but I’m looking to get more out of it before I have to do that… 😁 long time fan I love the content!

yup.. same one.. I could always use it RC or get in it :) At that time, my back was in a very bad condition.. but I am healthier now and time to time can use the skid as normal :)

That is one huge egg! I had a hen lay an egg that was massive and when I cracked it open I was expecting a double yoke but it turned out to be a triple. I also had a hen lay an egg that was perfectly double shelled with a single yoke inside. Cheers
