    thanks for the video - can you install an awning on those bars? it looks like they have end caps on the actual bars (not the lockable cover on the base). Can you just remove those end caps or do they fold out of the way?

    The mushroom infill in the top of the bar should never be removed, those racks will now be very noisy. You should depress the rubber infill and slide the channel nuts over the top of it, but it must stay in

      ...and I have just fitted it without any issues. The only thing that took any time was accurately aligning it so the rails were exactly central relative to the roof. Aside from that very straightforward thanks to your video.

    Thanks for the vid. Dont need 4 bolts per bracket for the awning. Cut down the bracket to 2 bolt holes, raise the bracket with washers so it can clear the cross bars end cap and they can remain in place

    Hi IT Adventure, thanks for sharing the video. Great stuff. We do take all feedback on board regarding instructions and work to make it easier to follow hence us also having our own official fit video. For those who may need some additional support to the paper instructions, most fitting kits do include a QR code to our fit video also which steps you through the process also. Here's the link for quick reference czcams.com/video/Z9jsg_oNbi8/video.html Again, thanks IT Adventure for sharing your specific video for the Pajero. Great work!

    Which way is the bar facing the front? Thinner or thicker one? Looks like thicker part.. is it correct?

    • @Prorack
      @Prorack Před 2 lety

      Hi Aaron, the bars are shaped like birds wings or a plane wing. Thicker part to the front so the wind swooshes around it. Another way to tell is locks to the front. Enjoy the adventures.

    Hi just want to ask the reason why you made this kind of project? is it because the smart garage door opener (specifically Meross) wont work? We actually have the same garage door and im thinking converting it to be "smart". not sure if i should do this one or go with Meross.

    • @itadventure5905
      @itadventure5905 Před 2 lety

      I made this project that I can remotely control my garage door through internet. Sometimes I want to be able to do it while away from home. Like leaving items in the garage and to be picked up later by a friend. I don't need to wait for the person to arrive and just contact me and I will open the garage door and close it after.

    How heavy is your prorack roof rack unit in total approximately?

    • @rsajca6100
      @rsajca6100 Před 2 lety

      I would estimate about 8 to 10 Kg. I have a roof tray which is about 10 KG. Roof load capacity is 70Kg-ish on the PS. I can load about 50Kg of stuff overall.
