Remember way back in the late '90s when there was some dork named Loogaroo who wrote highly critical reviews of NES and SNES games? Well, believe it or not, he's still around. This is the video arm of his current site, The Bloog, where video representations of his reviews are posted to be mercilessly voted 1 star by the same trolls that thought that pestering this guy was a worthwhile use of time seven years ago.
My current-gen repertoire (aside from changing the point of view of this description) consists of the Wii and XBox 360. Don't expect any XBLA exclusives to hit this channel anytime soon, though; I'm so far behind the crowd on that one that it's not really worth it.
You'll also see some videos regarding my other main hobby - game shows - provided I can find the time and my friends can do the same.
Feel free to subscribe if you enjoy the videos. As for friend requests, you can find me on XBox Live using the very same username that I use here. As for friend requests on YT, I try to limit those to people I've actually met in person. Don't take it personally if I don't add you - even though I am, as one person called it, "one of the hardcore game show elitists". I have no idea what that means, either.

200 five-second clips of significant Survivor moments
I was inspired by Yophop123's video of "100 five second clips of iconic Big Brother moments" to put this together. 200 clips from 40 seasons of Survivor, highlighting some of the show's most memorable moments in its 20-year history.
(I hesitate to say "iconic" or "classic" or anything similarly superlative just because I know I probably forgot some moments along the way that others might consider more significant. Just know that I struggled to find anything clip-worthy from Redemption Island, EOE, and IOI, while other seasons I was spoiled for choice.)
I might post more Survivor stuff in the future, I might not, but I did want to post something about the show on here since it's basically the only TV show I faithfully watch anymore.

Will be interesting to see what this game does differently in the HD-2D style next alongside DQ2.

That description pretty much sums it up, lol! A lot of the time playing it on a first run is "I don't know what to do or where to go" and the grinding aspects. So players end up doing a lot of character chatting and backtracking to find out what to to, it seems a lot longer and vast than it actually is. I'm not saying that as like some insulting way towards the game of course. It's just one of those things where it becomes really noticeable on a repeat playthrough because everything you do becomes a lot more efficient due to acquired knowledge, including grinding because you'll know where you can go at what level with so-and-so equipment. Sure that could be said of other games as well when one's skill in a game improves. But for Dragon Warrior, you'll cut off several hours with ease and notice it as you go. Like saying "Oh, I remember it taking me much longer to reach X-thing".

DQ/DW2 is significantly less enjoyable than DQ1. It's the only game in the NES series I can't finish because it just bores me to tears.

Got this game when it came out. It's the first RPG I completed. This game started my love affair for RPGs.

I'm not saying that I'm a God at this game for reaching the Dragon Lord at Level 14 (Ed's Sword/Armour, & Silver shield), but I'm also not NOT saying that.

I just picked this game up tonight after i got home from work amd decided to try it out since ive never previously given a crack at it..... ive been grinding 90% of the game, saving 5% of the time, and going to the INN to recharge my character the last 5% ..... so much grinding. Its time consuming---now i remember why i never got into these kinds of games. It has a fun atmosphere to it, but its just so loooong...
If you think the grinding in this game is bad, you don't want to know what it's like in the sequel.

Honestly am amazed that I beat this game. This game took some serious dedication to see all the way through.

One of mine is Dean playing his fake advantage and then Karishma not seconds later making every single mouth drop, causing the jury to go crazy. Or J’Tia almost making it past Spencer after throwing the rice out AND being responsible for their terrible shelter… Or any moment Christina from one world was bullied/yelled at and she just sat there like 😐 which always made everyone angrier.
Took me a year, of course I kept grinding till I maxed out on gold and experience.

I am very disappointed that I didn't learn how to beat the game in 5 minutes. Instead, I learned how to beat the game, in 5 minutes.
The clothes are extremely optional. I usually skip both the leather armor _and_ the clothes, going straight from naked to chain mail.
this game is huge, I didn't expect that, much less that there would be a "community" of Dragon Warrior at some point in time and space, I'm scared to try to beat this game now. i just want a NES rpg to play
