You need to watch the previous Bridgerton seasons (and Queen Charlotte) to fully understand where all these characters are coming from… as their stories are built & developed over each season, like one long continuous storyline.

Fortnight = twenty days. Yes, people went around teaching folks the latest dances. It was a profession. I will never hear the word "bugs" the same way again. The Featherington daughters did not grow up in a kind home. But all three have very kind husbands. They won life's lottery when you think on it. This whole series is a marvelous portrait of NON-toxic masculinity. I genuinely hope Cressida might still grow into someone better. No guarantees of course.

Season 4 has already been confirmed, and Luke and Nicola ( Colin and Penelope) are confirmed to be in it as well.

I loved your reaction, really nice work! It took me forever to watch this movie for many reasons, but I loved it. I even forgot Armie Hammer is Armie Hammer 😂 We noticed the same things (loud music, feet, awkward scenes), but I embraced the cinema experience. It wasn’t Hollywood pasteurized or American indie style, which is what I’m used to, even being Brazilian, it was just the director and his crew’s work, like they actually didn’t care about making money.

Genevieve pretends to be French. She is English. This came out in season one. Penelope knows her secret, so she doesn’t have to hide her accent from her.

TCM is not a good movie. It's only infamous because it was banned in some countries over it's title. There's really no gore in this movie and it's not scary either. An average TV episode of ER is far gorier. It's a forgettable, super low-budget movie that was made for the early 70's drive-in theater circuit. It's nothing special.

The prostitute thing for Colin is really a situation that has to be looked at from the perspective of the time when this is set. It was common practice for wealthy young men to gain experience in that way, and it certainly looked like a high end establishment, so to speak. Anthony says in S1 that he should have taken Colin to brothels to disabuse him of his romantic notions, which as others have said, were seen as ridiculous at this time. Men were expected to gain some maturity and life experience before settling down in marriage, which is why Colin's engagement to Marina was such a shock. The one time he believed himself in love, he was taken advantage of, and hurt and humiliated in multiple ways, so Marina really soured his experience of courting. Obviously, Colin wouldn't have to pay for sex, but it is the best option available. He's too honourable to mess around with debutantes and potentially ruin them, too young to be of interest to widows like Lady Arnold, and certainly not the type to seek out affairs with married women or take a mistress the way Anthony did, so prostitutes are really the logical choice. Problem is, Colin truly is a romantic at heart, and doesn't get any satisfaction from meaningless sex, it's just physical release and social validation. Thankfully, it doesn't take him long to realise that it isn't worth it, and once he sees that he can actually have the genuine connection that he craves, he can't even pretend to enjoy it.

Well, Lord Debling had to have something pointed out to him, but then immediately figured it out. On the other hand, both Colin and Eloise are pretty much blinded by their way of looking at the world--the former because he clearly has issues about seeing himself as worthy of love PLUS he got into the habit of thinking of Penn as an almost-sister, the latter because she is very myopic. Less forgivable IMHO is that Anthony and Benedict simply don't take Colin seriously. They find the idea of someone loving Colin in a passionate romantic way vaguely comic. I myself believe they noticed Penelope's feelings but saw it as a childish infatuation with their childish younger brother. Gregory and Hyacinth are too young to realize the implications of Penelope's feelings, insomuch as they even noticed. Francesca has been away, and she's pretty much in her own world anyway. Violet of course knows. Most of the rest of the Ton either do not care or find it pathetic/amusing, although some of just so wrapped up in their own business they ignore Penelope as a matter of habit.
