To me, instinctive Knife Throwing isn't a Style but a kind of power that is achieved by training, it's like an Inner magical power that can be cultivated by training, an instinctive thrower has its radius where it can stick any blade anywhere he wants to, everyone knows how to stick a blade instinctively since birth, you just have to expand your Domain

Hey. New subscriber here. Just getting into knife throwing as a hobby. I got a set of 3, 12 inch cold steel sure flight sport kmives. And i got a great target to throw at. A slice of a huge tree. Like you have. But mine is larger. And i only have one :) but anyway. I am really enjoying your videos. I may try some no spin after watching this video. I started trying rotational and i was terrible at it. I learned much faster using half spin technique. Wich actually helped me learn to stick them using rotational throwing. Wich i was suprised at. Ive avoided no spin basically out of fear. Of the knife rebounding if i mess up. But i had some success with no spin. And i would like to hear what you think of this .. today i tried throwing no spin from about just under 2 meters. Im right handed. I would hold the knife on my left side. And basically throw it like a backhand stroke in tennis. Is this a style you have tried? Am i simply doing it completly wrong? Pls. Some feedback :) thanks in advance... for reading.

Adam, did you have those made for your use? I really like the idea of the big star. How much could we get some of those for? Small shuriken historically were used to discourage pursuit and to terrify victims. These here would be like the nuclear version.

To awnser your final question. I think you summed it up perfectly. Its fun. It gets you out of the house. And puts something in your hands besides electronics. Im a brand new knife thrower. Only been practicing 2 weeks. But ive learned a ton from people like you. So Thanks. As for combat effectiveness... i would definatly agree... there is nothing non lethal about a large knife flying at you. I think the people that have that opinion are not familiar with a truly sharp blade. They might be gauging the effectivness on unsharpened department store knives. Because my knives... are very sharp. And i dont care who you are. Over 1lb of sharpened steel flying at you can kill. I dont care what kind of material your wearing. Even thick wool.

Little medical comment. The skin, even though it looks very fragile, it's quite tough. When you start actually putting injections and IVs in people, most students get a little surprise in the fact that a very thin needle needs a very, very, very tiny "oomph" to penetrate. Once inside though, there's almost no "real protection" and a pointy object, even if it barely pierced the skin, will still have a high chance of hitting part of an organ and cause severe damage.
