Recorded Video Playback from Avalonix Security Camera Systems using a Smartphone
In this video, we walk you through the steps to playback recorded footage from your cameras connected to an Avalonix Premium Series DVR or NVR using the DMSS app. This tutorial will help you access and review past recordings, making it simple to watch and take snapshots or clips of your surveillance footage using your smartphone or tablet device.
We begin by opening the DMSS app and navigating to the "Playback" tab on the home screen. Next, you learn how to expand the NVR or DVR name so you can select the specific camera channel you want to review.
Once you've selected and opened playback for a channel, you'll learn how to control the player, including playing, pausing, and adjusting the playback speed. There's also a button to enable and listen to the audio if your camera supports it and you turned it on at the time of recording.
The camera icon makes taking snapshots of important footage simple, and the camera and scissors icons allow you to record and save video clips directly to the app on your device.
Managing multiple playback channels is straightforward, and we show you how to add more cameras to the playback view, switch between cameras, and remove cameras as needed.

BNC Cable gets deteriorate with time. It happened to me a few weeks ago. Couldn't understand why it was rebooting till I started pulling 1 camera at a time. Till I noticed when I took 1 camera off the unit stayed on. I followed the wire and it was all decayed and white powder inside.

It depends on the camera. Some cameras have the ability to store video on an internal SD card. However, we have found that internal SD cards can sometimes cause frame skipping or laggy video when playing video back from the SD card.

Correct, you can connect PoE switches together (AKA daisy chain) using their uplink ports.

Do I still a need PoE switch if I have an NVR?
There are a lot of variables that would determine if you need a PoE switch. While most NVRs have a built-in PoE switch there are several situations where a switch would be useful. Here are a few examples: 1. Your NVR's built-in PoE switch is not powerful enough if you intend to use multiple large power-hungry PTZ cameras. 2. You have the need to run a camera over the 328 feet limit of Ethernet cabling. 3. You want to deploy your IP security camera system over your local network rather than using your NVR's internal network.

If you have no way of getting power further away from the central location then yes you would need 4 sets of cables, injectors, and extenders. However, if you have the ability to get power at that distance you could use a Power over Ethernet switch instead. Yes, as long as all of the devices are inter-connected via a router or switch they can communicate with one another.

Normally for a ptz to be moved it needs to be connected to an RS485 port. You didt explain that here

Hello, my name is Javier from Argentina, excuse my english. Is it possible to do the same but to view on the web, when we are not connected to the same network?
It is possible, however it is very difficult to set up. You need to know someone who is good with port forwarding and networking to be able to allow RTSP streaming over the internet through your router and modem.

Hi how are you? Actually when I change my NVR password after 2-3 hours or when I am far away from NVR it shows me that switch operating disk dev/sda(2)-->/dev/sda(3) reas. what does it means
That simply means that your NVR switched hard drives, or switched partitions within the hard drive. It is not a cause for concern. Have a blessed day.
