Completely outlandish and rude. Being cold and immediately saying sorry could have been avoided and explained in a better way if you are qualified to take investment decision. My wife is an educator and I am a CA and I do all the investing because I know it better. She manages the house because she does better. Every single investment and my net wealth is explained to her. Thus lets not make it a gender issue ( everyone seems to join the bandwagon) and relish it. My illiterate mother cherished the 11 FD taht my father left behind though she never new a word on investing. Good story. In my case i like investment in MF. Due to this i bought this MF. But my better half is against to it. She likes FD and post office in which money is always in hand. I am slowly moving and also liking her management.

Bakwas, my wife forwarded this to me despite the fact that she manages all the money and has full freedom to manage home finances as well.

This video shows the problem applicable to a few families. Maybe it applies to few families, most families take ladies opinion into account in India in financial decisions wherever they're interested.

Investment is related to financial education, if you have knowledge then do it otherwise get an idea from someone who knows it. There is nothing related to gender. One last thing, if you know how to manage funds, doesn't mean all should get advice from you and you should also learn to respect others freedom and decisions. Before investing, learn how to talk with parents.

Financial Decision should be of the Person to whom the Money belongs to. Earn your own & do whatever you want with it - Spend, Save, Invest, Gamble. Whatever you like no one can Question it. If the Money in earned by her she has all Rights to do whatever she do with that Money. Her Father or Husband can't have any say in that. If the Money is her Father's, he can Invest it anywhere without asking her. No matter she is Fund Manager or not. If the Money is her Husband's he can do whatever he wants with his Money. She won't have any say in that, No matter she is Fund Manager or not.
