Here's the early morning chat about what was then PTC6. As of 11am Monday we can now call this Tropical Storm FRANCINE. Western Gulf Coastal Areas need to be on guard (like WEST of Gulfport, MS).

Today looks like the day the faucet gets turned on for much of the area - and that's great news for some of the places that have been hot and dry for weeks. Nobody likes the rain chances to perk up for weekends, but it is what it is. And there at least should be some breaks and gaps in the pockets of rain.
