How absurd not to take the opportunity to widen the span given that it is unduly narrow for modern traffic, cyclists and pedestrians, albeit that the local highway authority would no doubt be required to pay for the additional cost. It is yet another example of transport short-termism that has always be devilled Britain and continues to do so.
"Modern traffic" in "Great Britain"? News flash. "Modern traffic" does not include motor vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians on any single "span".
This video appears to show the lowering of the tracks prior to electrification (between Ryecroft Jn & Bloxwich) . Looks like the metal sleepers were re-used. Glad I wasn't working on it - the tea break was over in a flash!
Isto é o exemplo de uma obra bem feita, com um bom planejamento para uma boa satisfação dos resultados. Obrigado pelos seus vídeos.👍👏👍👏👍
Didn't see everything machine is doing. Still interested not impressed yet. Look at loran c 1200 might pick up.an idea to make machine move faster

Enjoyed my time on that job
As a Subcontractor my whole life I would not want my boss to see this video. There always seems like there is a group standing around and then they break off into smaller groups and stand around again.
Those ARE the bosses...
@@K1W1fly To many chiefs and not enough Indians then.
Got to give it 2 coats of looking at 🤣
seems like there was always 10 extra guys standing around shooting the breeze, inflated the payroll for this job.
Dennis that's called stuporvising. Very important assignment.
I didn't ask for a corporate video! 🙄
All that effort and a 153 was the first thing over. Was it worth it? Awful “trains”.
Музыка классная! Кто исполнитель?
Any chance with your videos you could actually show us the end result, the videos always cut off before we get to see the final result?
We'll try and capture more in our future videos. Thank you for your feedback.
This is in Manchester?
Пиздец.. у нас бы недели 2 его мусолили, а тут за 1,5 сутки. Почему никто из богатеньких не может закупить технику, и брать проэкты и делать также. Еще богаче бы стал. Чем больше успевал бы, тем больше заработал бы.
It's really not good for me to watch videos where the work is not shown in its entirety. I watch and watch the work, so why not give the viewers the final result for us to enjoy?
Love all your timelapse videos but they’re all cut much too soon - maybe with a shot of a train rolling through the newly finished section. Would be more satisfying if we can see the job completed rather than the almost completed project.
What a fantastic video, so much work and effort to complete the job. Cheers for the capture
Glad you enjoyed it
Awful lot of people getting paid standing around in these videos

If only there were machines that laid ballast, sleepers and track workout all that manual mucking around... 👀
Infrastructure improvement. Something you will never see in America.
No commnets...flaterred...hat's off to the team work...and modern tools...machines...good luck...proud of you all.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed
I spent a lot of time time fixing Cessnas in the rain, snow and larvly sun on this site, mixed emotions about it's development, was a nice chilled interesting place with scrap aircraft being cannibalised and slowly rotting away, it just looks boring and incredibly well organized which is fantastic..... Just boring. Respect as always to Mr stobart.
A bit of info below regarding this project being a ex city councillor. This has been in the planning stages for a long time, and now only just getting built. Because of the very poor road infrastructure with the City of Lincoln we needed a bypass built. First we had the western bypass which basically joined up the A46 from the south of the city up and around the city to then meet the A57 which takes you too Gainsborough, the A15 to Scunthorpe and M180, the A46 to Market Rasen / Grimsby and finally the A158 to Horncastle and Skegness. What the county council failed to do with this was to secure enough funding to make a complete dual carriageway from one end to the other. So this road jams up very quickly at peak periods. So we come to the current project which is a bit of phase 2 which will be “eventually” a complete link up from the A158 to the A46 but on the eastern side of the city. Again failure to secure enough government funding to make it a dual carriageway from the start, this will be a single carriage way so it will help once this road is done to try and take the traffic away from the city but not for long. It has been fraught with problems from the original constructor going into financial difficulties to the weather disrupting works which added delays. The video is really good and shows the level of civil work that can be done in a very short period of time from closing the line to reopening for trains to be running again. As for ruining the beauty of Lincolnshire Countryside, when they built the western bypass between the A57 and the A15 they had carve out a complete hillside to accommodate a north and south dual carriageway and then build Burton Road bridge. We have another bridge to construct which will cross the River Witham and more to come. This has to be done as you will never convince people to stop using their cars and the more and more car users we have the more and more we are going to need projects like the above.
Awesome job lads, stobart have stuck their fingers in all the pies and made a good job of it too!

Spaghetti rails!
Speeded up a little too fast to take in all the work that was being done , very interesting though .
Just change the speed on the page...
Person who often find themselves fustrated with the railways watching videos like this in mind that sometimes it's important to take a step back and just give a level of appreciation for the men and women that make our ways as operational as they are I love watching videos like this keep up the good work

Great job...I love heavy engineering...first class guys n gals...Great music btw.
This vs Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Who picked the music? Sack them.
Fandango Lolo , you can turn the sound off mate , it didn’t worry me .
Kenneth Hume yeah I did, but the guy who picked the music should still be canned.
Yes, hideous music!
Yes beautiful let’s pollute the Lake District. Brilliant.

Where is the "Electrified" rail?
Always fascinating how wiggly the rails are when moved and carried loose.

No one else is bothered that they're ruining Lincolns natural beauty? The bypass is going through the quarry, the river Witham and all around the Washingborough bike track. Its supposed to be a nature reserve around their. Just build a huge bypass through it all, thanks Lincoln council. This is the best thing you've done since that ridiculous train bridge that you spent 12 million taxpayer pounds on. I bet they have their eyes on the common next, Lincoln won't be beautiful much longer.
Guys why would you build a bridge in the middle of Lincolnshire and it is breaking nature thanks very much
Well done to each and everyone of you...
I am sort of a loss of why they are building a bridge there. Is it a highway under pass, flood control? Just curious.
Yea, WHAT THE HECK WAS THE PURPOSE? A great video but why?
The bridge was built as part of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass scheme. Currently Lincoln only has a half ringroad that takes you north of the city, the scheme will add another half so you can head south on the A15 without needing to go through Lincoln or rural roads.
