      I believe 4 it’s a short climb. I would highly recommend the Monkey Off My Back variation. It goes at 5.9 and is an amazing pitch with even better exposure!

      Did the pole creek approach and climbed north then followed the ridges. North to middle there is only one way it’s pretty obvious. Come back across the traverse and head for middle you can’t really mess it up same coming down middle towards south. Coming down middle looking at south sister I went climbers right and headed up south. Sorry I don’t have any kind of map of what I did, hopefully that helps!

    I hate to be an idiot, and I'm sure you've heard this many times before, but why? What could possibly be worth the risk of either plummeting to your death (Ueli Steck), or being wheelchair-bound (Quinn Brett) for the rest of your life? At the prime of your life? I mean, life isn't a happily recurring multiple stroke of good fortune. It only happens once; then it's over, forever. What could possibly be worth putting your life in jeopardy; what prize, what thrill, what bragging rights, what momentary rush, what CZcams subscription-WHAT could possibly be a reward greater than possibly losing the only life you will ever have, for Eternity? There is no god. There is no reincarnation. There is no karma. There is no Gaia. There are no grandchildren. There is just: death. Nothingness, for Eternity. No choices. No love. No people. No mountains. No dreams. No loved ones. And you risk that, for THIS? Sorry. I love climbing videos. I paid to see Free Solo. I loved Ueli Steck. And Dean Potter. And the hundreds of other names that are carved into rocks or inscribed . . . on gravestones. My wife died on January 18th . . . she didn't want to, but she did. I will never hear her voice again. She will never be on the bed next to where I'm sitting now. The house is quiet. There is no laughter. Only silence. That said, I loved the video.

    • @sydneyf193
      @sydneyf193 Před 2 lety

      Gosh it took us longer than it should have. We started early around 6 am and probably got to the top by 1-2 pm. Then we got lost going down and missed the mountaineer route so we descended the north side i believe and came out the gulley by mt Russell.

    Let's see...no water, no food, no safety gear, no bad weather gear, wearing cotton, no helmet, going alone. Just about all the things NOT to do in backcountry hiking in the mountains. These are not behaviors to be emulated.

    Oops, remember that you should always tie a knot at the end of your rope when rappelling. Hopefully you are still alive. I recommend climbing with a partner, but then I wear a face covering in the grocery store. I'm over seventy and perhaps you will be so fortunate to reach this age, because it's still fun to get into the out of doors. Happy climbing.
