Wow.. this was an experience to say the least, hands down one of the best tests I've gone to!
So while in Illinois, it was the first Tuesday of the month so why not capture a test right? HUGE special thanks to @centralillinoissirens. and the fire chief for putting on this amazing test for all of us. Given this is my first thunderbolt capture, I was extremely impressed with how punchy this sucker was, it's an event none of us will forget as I also got to meet some new faces! Enjoy the video!

Well this is a surprise. People were saying a few years ago that it had sounded for the last time and was going to be removed later. I guess not. The rotator is struggling, though.
Yeah it's definitely struggling, its still rumored to be removed iirc. Glad I got to hear it though!

You should check out the old Federal Enterprises Thunderbolt 2000 in Windsor Hills, CA when you have the chance. It's the last Thunderbolt 2000 to retain its original gas-powered engine/blower.
