Did you upgrade the cpu for the n64 or is the original one? I see in the case of Zelda is smooth
This is the original one, I never upgraded it.
@@reviewinggames tnks for your replay means a lot to me. I will try the N64 games without upgrading the cpu inside the polymega.
did the 8bitdo neogeo cd controller finally work with the polymega? Because im planning to get one for my polymega
I tried everything and I could not get it to work. If you want my advice don't buy it.
@@reviewinggames did you even try to update the firmware for both the controller and the dongle provided by the 8bitdo updater tool?
@@dnbsupporter5643 I'm going to try that right now...
It says "no more information at this time." So either I already tried to update and that didn't work, or there isn't an update. And I'll point out, that both my computers say that the site you download the upgrade tool from is sus and warns me not to go there ("not secure"?) what ever that means.I think I'm 100% done trying to get this thing to work. If you buy it to use on your Polymega good luck. Has been nothing but a PITA for me.
@@reviewinggames cool please keep me up to date if its working or not after the firmware update! :)
did you upgrade the cpu in your Polymega? I am curious because I am interested in the module but I have heard a lot from others about emulation issues pertaining to n64.
I did not upgrade the CPU in my Polymega. Only emulation issues I noticed while playing the games that I own was there might be a frame skip or very slight audio skip or glitch, usually happened during a cut scene, but never affected gameplay. Now there could be more issues happening with other games that I don't own but I wouldn't know what those are.
I missed grabbing the shotgun fuuuuuck mate I'm brain dead lmao I've been fighting that spider boss with a pistol and a pick axe 😂😂
My questions is where the fuck do you get the shotgun 😆
The shotgun was leaning up against the table that had the pick axe on it in the Mines. I think it was at the far end of the first room you drop down through the hole into.
Only do the intro splash and music once, don't double up. Introduce yourself and the game and go into it, or vice versa. Besides that, good video!
Solid advice, thanks!
This looks crazy, not bad video too bud. You definitely have the right voice for this kinda thing. keep it up bud. When you killed those big dudes in the mines it would have been nice to take it all in abit, once safe give the enemies a bit of a look at. Kinda rushed it, would have been cool to show us abit more.
Oh I didn't think about taking it all in and looking around, I was too busy trying to get the heck outta there! But will keep that in mind for future eps. Def doing part 2 or chapter 2 when they release it. Thank you for liking the video!
Does this work on steam deck just after buying? Idk if that’s a weird question or not. But I am completely new to steam deck and steam in general . I know almost nothing about how it works but I’m a huge fan of the indie horror games on steam, I’ve watched a lot of videos. I’m waiting on my oled deck to come . I just ordered one. I look up the game’s compatibility before with games I’m interested in. It says playable but there’s like different bullet points. Long story short I know a lot of people who are familiar with steam/pc shit are more tech savvy then myself. Does this game work if I straight up buy it and run it on steam deck or is there shit you need to do to make it actually playable. Forgive my naivety
I did something to mine when I first got my Steam Deck when I had trouble getting it to run Sons of The Forest. I talk about it in "Playing Games on Steam Deck' (Part 1). But it was something like 4GB VRAM in bios, Proton GE, Cryo utilities. I don't really remember because it was awhile ago, but you put the Steam Deck into developer options. And I have left it that way ever since and every game I've thrown at it just works (for the most part). I'm using a Xbox Series X Carbon Black controller and playing the Steam Deck docked to a TV. Anyways I would say just give it a try with what ever game(s) even if it says "not verified" etc and if you run into issues running the game (always try everything on LOW SETTINGS IN GAME SETTINGS) go on reddit and see if anyone mentions a fix or something you can try and do. But yeah, Steam Deck is awesome! Congrats. I think all the games are on Steam. And if your interested in "Horror" games, go to the store from the Steam Deck and scroll to categories and then sub category 'Survival" that's where I think you will find a lot of games you may like to play.
@@reviewinggames hell yeah man, thanks for the thoughtful response. I’ll look into that. I’ll have to do some sleuthing for sure online to get familiar with. I’ll check out your vid too. Super stoked to play fears to fathom and some of the chillas art games.
They had some really cool games for it's time. I remember the Panasonic 3DO well, it was way too expensive so I could not afford it but the gun games looked the coolest to me. I had them for Sega CD which I loved, & I never really saw too many other types of games like that since over the decades. PlayStation had a ray gun, with a few games like Time Crisis. The first person shooter games featured here were ahead of their time, it was just most people could not afford that system & there were not enough popular titles like what Sega, Nintendo, then later PlayStation marketed & mastered at a good affordable price.
3DO is awesome! Yeah, American Laser Games made a lot of the light-gun shooting games for the system. I never found the light gun for 3DO but I have the "Justifier" gun that came bundled in with Lethal Enforcers on Sega CD.
@@reviewinggames The blue toy ray gun that looked like a 357? Yeah I had that one in the 90's as a kid but lost it over time. There is a 3DO gun but its ultra expensive now, & it costed too much along with the system when I was a kid. All I could remember is going to the mall and seeing it at the store, & playing the sample game with my buddies but none of us could afford it. Then two years later PlayStation One came out & it was very affordable for my friends. I was able to buy part two in High School when that came out.
Hearing him refer to Castlevania 64 as awesome went against every conversation I have ever heard about C64. I thought the consensus was that it was a horrible game.
sillent hill 1 best soundtrack on playstation 1
i have those game on my MVS and have 0 load times
Why would you bother getting radiant silvergun and guardian force on the poly mega when they're available on modern platforms? Aren't they expensive on real hardware?
This is actually a really great comment and I am glad that you mention that. I am for anyone playing their games however they want to, either playing original media or downloading digital copies to modern consoles. Some of these games like the ones you mentioned are quite expensive to buy today in the original media, I guess I wasn't really thinking about that when I was compiling the list.
I use the Xbox Series and Ps5 controllers on mine.
That's awesome! I just bought a Series X! I'm hoping Valve puts Steam on Series S/X.
I'm also playing all these Steam games using a Series X Carbon Black controller. It's a fantastic controller!
I guess I'm early (not rlly)
I saw that copy of Steam Hearts installed you dirty dog
Are you playing an original 4 in 1 classics? I have a copy and cannot get it to work or 5 in 1 also. All other copies and original games i have tried have worked
Original 4 in 1 Classics Sega CD disc (not a back up) that was a double pack with Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective.
@reviewinggames ok thanks for that
My polymega is now on it way so can not wait for it to land as i will be ordering the n64 module as soon as it does
Awesome! Congratulations! It really is a fantastic console. I'm going to have a 'recommendations for first CD games to install to the Polymega base system' episode coming out soon, for ideas of games to install with just using the base system. There's a lot you can do with just the base system!
Polymega is a scam site. Good luck getting anything.
At least you got one. No one else that ordered did.
Does it play Game Genie and NES games?
Game Genie no, NES and Famicom yes
But you need to purchase the "Power Element Module" and has to be attached to base unit in order to play nes and famicom (famicom requires an adaptor to fit a nes cart slot)
I will have a polymega. I deserve a polymega. I need a polymega. Over the top?
Oh, very interesting
What is the song that starts @ 1:23 song is amazing I can’t find it
That is the first level music from Monster Lair on Turbografx CD. Fantastic music in that one!
@@reviewinggames incredible thank you so much!
This is the same issue found with the Analogue Turbo Duo. Probably have to do how memory is being routed depending what card
After updating the analogue Duo console I am able to play altered beast pc engine cd rom 1 with system one card inserted and cd inserted.
Are you part of the Polymega discord!
I'm so interested in anything to do with this system and I had no idea it could do this. I'm assuming if I wanted to do it with Saturn games it would work? Could I, say, use the system with a blutooth Sega controller to play Saturn games? If you can't tell, I'm all about the Saturn!
It def plays Saturn. What's great about this system is you can put your Saturn disc into the main console, import it, and then safely put your Saturn game away back on the shelf never needing it again. Stay tuned for future episodes where we will look at Saturn games and Bluetooth controllers on the Polymega.
Yo that girl with rabbit ears and saying gotcha whenever she kills her foe and picks up a hammer and seems odd when you test Sega Saturn with Retro-Bit Sega Saturn USB controller. That game was Keio Flying Squadron 2. Who is she?
You know why that seemed weird probably, bc that was actually the Pal version of that game.
@@reviewinggames So you won't say who that character was? Whatever. I just want to know that's all. However that's not the response I hope for. Anyway you did good on test those usb controllers but didn't include the one that the website says what usb controllers are compatible like the QANBA Obsidian Tournament Fight Stick. But that's okay. Anyway when I got my own Polymega along with other Module sets I will test the game US and Japan patch to test them. So keep up the good work on you streaming on You Tube. But fair warning: in future videos, don't say DeadPool or he'll pop up on screen from out of nowhere.
Oh, what is the girls name from keio flying squadron 2? Rami Nanahikari - The grandchild of an ancient family and a descendant of aliens who came to Earth long ago. She wears a bunny suit, the formal attire of a Key Guardian. After her last adventure she was enjoying her life as an ordinary schoolgirl.
My external hard drive fell off of a table and isn't working so I am waiting on another one in the mail at the moment before I can finish work on part 2 of this episode. Shouldn't be more than a few days.
I cant get Duke Nukem Zero Hour or Hexen 64 to run. Theyre installed but crash to the dash everytime I try.
My Hexen does work tho
Polymega resets to the logo screen when I launch Duke nukem zero hour or any n64 hack game. Its going in my part 2 episode.
@reviewinggames both of mine are authentic copies I believe. Maybe I ended up buying repos!
I'm pretty sure the issue is just with your Duke nukem zero hour as it is with mine. Try and clean your Hexen a few times thoroughly , delete the game and all data from polymega and try ans re import Hexen again. See if that works
A very good review mate ! I'm happy that the n64 module is Finally shipping . That console in particular has me really interested but knowing how many people are still waiting for their console since years now, is the only thing that still keeps me back . For the n64 in my case , I will wait for the fpga analogue(brand) n64 4k console .
I finally received my second polymega base unit a few days ago so they are shipping them out now. I am also looking foward to the n64 Analogue system.
so i liked the video... you did show mario kart 64 you didn't have too but I appreciate it not that you did it for me. but... and i know this isn't burger king where i have it my way.... but there is a thing with emulation and mario kart.... Some emulators do not show the screen in Luigi's Raceway... and i wanted to see if the polymega could do the same.... Thats why i had said what no mario kart!?!?!? cause thats the racetrack that makes or breaks an emulator.just saying
Will include Mario kart 64 Mario raceway level in importing cartdrige games to em05 module for polymega part 2. I did record that level (forgot to include) and it does show the image on the Jumbotron tv correctly.
@@reviewinggames ok thats al i wantedto know. thank you for the info
czcams.com/video/qcfiGqnBIv8/video.htmlsi=_tR862UcIb7eBl7B 👈 some of the "wrong system card" messages I recorded on my polymega enjoy !
I install the update and It brick my console! I have the black screen of death, it seems there are some issue with some 4k tv (I have 86" LG 4k 120hz) , I don't want to reset to factory setting the console because I have more then1300 games installed and a lot of save states. I tried to connect to a regular 1080p tv with no module in and no controller with no results.. Does anyone know how to fix? I' m desperate
You might want to try and contact support@playmaji.com via email and see if they can assist you with your issue.
did it , they are not responding as usual@@reviewinggames
良いゲーム機ですにゃ〜(=^x^=)
Do you have the light gun for the Polymega? I really want to see a good review of the gun which I can't seem to find. The Polymega so far seems to be the only way to play Sega Saturn light gun games on a modern TV without the hassle of setting up something like the Gun4ir or Sinden with an emulator on PC.
I preordered the Lightgun feb 21' and have yet to hear any news about it.
@@reviewinggames GC01 Gun Controller is being revised for additional compatibility with Polymega App and Remix. Est. launch is Q2 2024.
With Polymega's track record I doubt the gun will be out this year!
@@rossbusters410 If it does come out this year it will be at the very end of it.
Just saw a post online stating polymega just released a system update to allow Ultra module support. Maybe you’ll be able to use it now.
I saw that they released an update, I am going to wait and watch what happens before I update my system.
That guy in the end in robo cop is the dude who kills him and shoot him in the end of film after he released a person that hold as Hostage
My Polymega is taking up to 2 years to load my NeoGeo games (and I’m still waiting).
I can't help but to love the Sega CD, even with all the FMV crap. Good times!
Is it hard to get English patches to work?
I have never tried an English patch, but I believe it would be the same as using the Doom Resurrection Patch for Doom 32X. Where you would download the patch, put that on a USB flash drive thumbstick in a folder titled Patch, and then select that file under "Select Patch" in options for starting game in Polymega menu.
Have you tried the MVS mini controllers? Or the Neo Geo Arcade Stick Pro?
😍
Polymega is the kind of name my mom would have put to a console back in the 90s
Polymega had another name before they switched to Polymega but I don't remember what it was ? Was it Retroblox or something ?
@@reviewinggames idk, I just know my mom called every console the "mega" (because the Sega megadrive) so a console that runs many consoles is a poly(many) mega(console) in my mom's own language
please what is this zombie game that appears in the minutes 24:53? Thank you, I liked Polymega content.
That zombie game is Echos of the Living available on Steam. Although as of yet, only a playable demo has been released, the game is not officially "out" yet.
@@reviewinggamesthanks!!!!! ❤
There's still something fascinating about seeing 16-bit FMVs although slightly enhanced. My only personal experience with Sega CD is Sonic CD and at the time it just looked basically the same to me at the time, but now I can see the slight differences. Thank you for the video, a good watch while I make turkey noodle soup and sourdough, Cheers 🎉
for a moment, I thought this was a kung fu movie a la Bruce Lee type. Awesome, gonna look into this game. Thanks for the upload.
Im really glad that you said that. I didn't record voice over for Supreme Warrior for Sega CD bc I wanted it to feel like you're watching a movie.
I’d sync it to the dongle in 2.4g mode not attempting to re sync it to the console.
I am going to try this thanks!
I can't connect with a 2.4G dongle. Is there a special method or procedure? If you let me know, I will be truly blessed!
I'll save you 5 mins, no it doesn't work.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be compatible with the wireless saturn 2.4Ghz controller, hoping for an upcoming update !
Someone on the polymega FB group said it works but mine doesn't. I even updated firmware. I can confirm that the 8 button RetroBit Sega Saturn Bluetooth version works with a connected cable.
