Just a quick render of the Audi R8 I've been modelling for a bit of practice over the past week or two Just used a single directional light, with final gather and global illumination on. There's a couple of patchy bits in the shading which I'm not sure about.

So I starting reading about this whole Final Gather thing in Maya and I decided to give it a try. So awesome! No lights or anything used in this scene, just incandescant objects. The thing I love most about it is that it is so quick to render, and none of that trial and error crap with shadow rays and massive render times.

This is my project for Video class at RMIT university. It's the thrilling tale of two bicycle riding renegade cops and their struggle to bring down Don Vido the biggest cocaine distributor on the east side, all the while having to withstand pressure from the Chief for their renegade, bike riding ways.

Just a short render I did of my Z4 model for a Uni project. First attempt at any sort of 3D modelling, so there is obviously a lot of things that could have been done a lot better. The render took something like 50 hours straight on my core 2 duo 6600. God damn ray tracing.....
