That second piece of silver looks like Roman Hack too I witnessed seeing detectorists dig a hoard up with pieces like that coming to light some years ago in Scotland - if you have found two pieces do a thorough search of that field it could be a hoard

I use mutli frequency on my garret apex on the beach. And near / on the water i switch to Multisalt. Works great. I have not used a detector in the field yet.
