Dump Truck Finally Gets It's First Test. It's a Pass, but Barely.
This video is my first real test with the dump truck. It's been in the works for a while, and I've been worried about how it will go, but I've delayed as long as I can and need to give it a try now. Overall it did get the job done, but didn't not go off without a hitch, There was of course some problems.
This is part of my journey as I'm building my driveway/road to my eventual DIY off grid cottage build in the remote Central Canada area.

From Trees to Dock. The Boat Dock Is Finally Done!
zhlédnutí 1,6KPřed 9 hodinami
In this video I finally complete the dock I started over a year ago. Using a chainsaw mill guide and an alaskan chainsaw mill, I turn a downed tree into the last few deck boards needed to complete the dock. First we take a short tour of the beaver dams and I've include a few videos from the trail cams. Bears and bears are a foot.

Now that the roughed in road has reached the build site, I'd decided to spend some time on the camp area. I've tested out the alaskan saw mill to make some more boards for the dock. I've also added a new toy, with an old aluminum boat to give me better access to the lake. Still need to take it out on the main lake. I also do more outdoor fire wood processing to prep for some summer visits This ...

Very major milestone in this project. This is par...

This video is another extension of the driveway. Going down a steap hill was more challenging than I expected, but worked out in the end. I'm now at the bottom of the build site, where the parking area will be. Exciting to get this close and to see how I'll be at the build site in no time at all. I could not have gotten this far without that amazing Kubota L2501 and backhoe attachment. This is ...
Part 3 of July Week at The Land - Road Repair on Muddy Section

In this video I need to go back to a muddy section of the road/driveway to fix it up better. Driving through it over the last few days had made it much worse and a problem I couldn't ignore. Luckily the Polaris Ranger 570 Premium is a tough little work horse. With the Kubota L2501 to load up the back, I spent the day hauling load of aggregate/pit-run down the road to fix up this area. Installed...
Part 2 of July Week at The Land - Extending the End Of The Road
zhlédnutí 477Před 14 dny
In this video I'm extending the driveway through very rough terrain. Removing a big tree stump and working my way across the steep slope. No major huddles and some really good progress on a spot I expected to be much harder. This is part one of a week up at the land as I struggle through the DIY road build for the eventual DOY cottage build in the remote Central Canada region.

Fixing My Culvert Mistake on my DIY Cottage Driveway in Remote Central Canada

I had only used half of a culvert initially, but the road was just not wide enough in this wet area. To avoid future problems I decided it was time to dig up and add the second half to ensure I have a wide enough road at this section. The Backhoe on the Kubota L2502 and Polaris Ranger 570 were key equipment in this job. Hope you enjoy!

Hello and good afternoon. Glad to see you got your truck up and running. And it's going to work out good for you when you get a chance what I would check also is the bushings where the body mounts to the frame on the body pin hinges. Sometimes the bushings go bad or sometimes they need to be greased. Play starting to come together for you . And now for now if you don't have a hiccup here or there. Then it's to easy lol. But now you're going to have less wear and tear on a tractor back and forth. When using a dump body now. Well if you have a blessed weekend buddy

Thanks. I'll take a closer look at those bushings as well. It's old a rusty, so I don't expect it to be perfect, but the better the joints move the longer it should last me.

The beaver gets busy fast and you really don't know the size of their dam to you remove it . And i like how your trying to manage the situation so the beaver can coexist with you. They did overstep their authority here and didn't follow any sort or process, so I've managed to get their hand slapped, so to speak, and had them apologize and agree to contact me in the future.
