Hello! I'm from Europe and maybe you can help me with some information. I installed an oak engineered floor, light in color, and immediately after installation I applied a solution that contains some sort of wax. My bad, i guess. On its box it was written that it is intended for all oiled floors, as mine is, to be applied imediately after installation of the floor. After application, small traces remained, like some slightly darker spots, which I cannot clean with absolutely anything. I tried with mineral spirits, i apllied polyurethane oil made by the floor manufacturer, but I can't remove those spots that look like some sort of small shadows in the grain. can you recommend me something? thank you

So you don't have to sand bare spots before touching up? You can just clean then add matching polyurethane...Thanks

I’ve used it and have had no problems. They must’ve used that every week rather than just a hardwood cleaner. This product is only supposed to be used every 4-6 months and if you follow the instructions it works great.

This is absolutely amazing, thank you! I've got some questions for anyone willing: can someone explain buffering in-between poly coats? What does it entail? Will anything adverse happen if you leave the stripper on for more than 2 minutes or so? Are there heavy fumes? Years later, are you honestly happy with the results? Thank you again! I'm closing on a little Cape Cod from 1925 with original heart pine floors. Not only is sanding labor intensive and expensive (no matter who does the work), but the floors I have are in good shape, but the stain is 50+ years, orange, and ugly. I'd rather try something less abrasive than sanding. I figure if I don't like the effect of the stripper, at least some of the varnish would be gone - thus there'd be less to gunk up the sanding pads if I have to go that route.
