Hey, mate. If you have a factory camera, it can be retained by our head units. Don't have an updated video but can use our other install videos as reference for the factory camera. Just need to plug a purple-wired RCA plug to the RCA plug from our main harness. Does this not need coding? I thought swapping the head unit required a code from Nissan?

The pajero sport reversing camera is terrible. Does this head unit improve that, or is the camera itself the problem.

Do i need to hook up the GPS untin of i only need android/Apple car play ? I use the maps from car play as my GPS.

I don't get it. My Android Unit has two 12V power connectors. One for the rear cam and one ACC. I have a front cam and a backup cam. Both need a 12V connection. My plan was to connect the rear cam to the 12V rear connection and the front cam to the 12V ACC connection. But now this needs a power source as well? Where am I supposed to get all these connections from? I'd really appreciate some help how to do this...

why did some of the steering wheel buttons not work you could hear you clicking them but not coming up on the unit
Hey, mate. The buttons themselves were the issue here. You could see that for the buttons that worked, the command easily registered on the app. This is install video is of our older head X-Series head units. We have a newer series called M-Series. Hi, thanks for the video i installed this switch on my car but when i hooked the turn signal nothing came up the reverse camera is working fine but nothing else. Do i need to install a application? Because I didn't.
I don't have this particular video switcher, but the one I have is a two channel and in order to "turn on" my front bumper camera, it has to have 12v power, I do this with a dashboard switch, in the case of this switcher, I believe the power must be constant, so you can use the control pud and the camera is already powered, I hope I'm explaining clearly, I also want to try this switcher for my pickup truck since it will give me 5 total video inputs instead of 2 as of now, take care
@JrgMP1 thanks mate! If I understood right, so I need to have a constant 12v to the camera and how do I trigger the camera with the turn signal? I do not want to use the control I just want the side cameras to be on just when I use the turn signals.
@VehicleVignettes in another video for the same switcher some one mentioned that power should come from the stalk on the steering wheel, such solution seem more problematic then an actual solution, the other solution was to add a relay, something call a time delay relay, I have not look into that yet, sorry if I'm not of more help (if any to begin with)

Does the factory reverse beeper work? Like the sensors etc. and is there a display come up to show how close you are to objects?
Yeah, mate. Should still be retained and there are reverse guide lines on the head unit and if the factory camera has those, they will be retained.
Hi, Do u have an inbuilt Rockford fosgate Amp retention module like Aerpro mito-02 adapter built into your head units ? Btw mine is an 07 Pajero exceed with rear entertainment unit but I had to use the Mito-02 adapter to get my clarion vx506au unit to work ie turn amp on. But Sound isn’t as good as it would be without mito adapter and it often only puts sound to rear and or front with less or no 2nd row sound. And wiring is a complete messy nightmare. Do you have a better amp retention plug in module for other units like mine ? TIA
Hey, mate. We don't have an adapter for the amp itself but I reckon our head units for the Pajero Exceed work with the factory amp and still utilize it. Can just adjust audio thru the DSP on our units.
Why do you need to remove the glove box?
There were was work done behind the glove compartment. We put it back afterwards when the unit was up and running! :)

I am having trouble connecting my Android phone to the Speedplay app. I connect my phone to the device via BT, start the hotspot on the device, connect my phone to the device hotspot, and then go to the app. However, it says it's trying to connect to Apple Carplay as I see the photo with the circle saying connecting, but it doesn't give me the Android auto photo and connecting. I can do wired Android auto with it but the wireless doesn't seem to be connecting to Android auto. Any help would be appreciated!

When I first turn on my vehicle, and go in to reverse, it does not pick ANY video feed. I've tried all 4 and none are enabled by default. I simply get "no video" until I first wake up the remote, then pick an input. How do I set a default? (note I've tried using the trigger wires, but as you state, that over-rides the remote, which doesn't work for me)

Thanks, this explains the installation very well. I have a radio fitted like this by the previous owner and have very bad radio signal. I was told it is because the Amarok has a dual antenna and the kit only allows for one connection. You have to install a FAKRA DAB adapter

Do front and rear parking sensors still work?
Yeah, mate. Factory sensors will work.
I don't understand why aftermarket hooks up the cheap GPS antenna in cars that already had navigation and have a robust GPS antenna already in the windscreen. On my XC90 I was able to tap into the factory GPS signal - it just takes the right fitting - and send it to the aftermarket android stereo. Same with the backup camera - find the composite signal, attach the proper fitting, and plug it into the android head unit. That way you preserve the factory backup lines, aren't carrying aronud an extra camera and GPS antenna, etc. I know on this one factory camera is retained, but so many installers don't know how to do that unless given a plug and play harness when it's really quite easy.
Hey, mate. Good points you made there! Just that not alot of customer have the knowledge and confidence to splice and change up the cables they have and would prefer to keep it as is so the adapter kits help them out in this cases.
I have similar unit with usb. Still wasn't happy with the signal so i fitted a proper roof antenna 2 cables n a 12v cable..question do i connect the 12v cable because the usb is supplying the the dab wit some sort of power. Doing my nut in this. Help
Not sure if the antenna you bought is for regular radio or for the DAB+ radio. Can check if it works without plugging the 12v cable since DAB+ is being powered by the USB already.
@vhedia6947 sorted it bud my cock up. When I fitted new antenna on the roof I managed to take a nick out of the 12v feed which then earthed itself. Anyway I isolated the red cable connected it to the ignition live not directly to the battery now works fine. Thank you for replying

Hey, mate. You can try to avoid saying 'Hey Google' when driving or can turn it off so it doesn't activate while you are driving. How to turn off google assistant for android auto Search for “Android Auto” in your phone's settings. As each brand places the menu differently, the most comfortable is to use the search engine. Go to “Hey, Google Detection” and turn off the “While driving” setting.
