    I am learning German and love all these stories. Please forgive me if I do not type in German as I am just really starting, can understand the words but cannot speak well or type sentences. I would love to be able to get the script for these in the German form without translation, so that I have to work at understanding what is being said. Thank you so much for a great site with fantastic stories... this one had me in tears as it is so close to my heart with my wife ( I am 62 years young) and it also made me laugh with the twist at the end.       ​​@@Jdhvduabout time you use Duolingo less if you are actually serious about learning German. I have a 400-days streak but recently realized how inefficient and inadequate Duolingo is. The hate from the language learning community for the app can be found everywhere online, and for good reason. It's an alright gateway to language learning maybe but after the very beginning, as someone put it, "a waste of time, albeit a slightly useful waste of time" (as opposed to just scrolling on CZcams Shorts or stuff).
