Go with the fox mate.. i didnt do a 2nd video. But id never buy these alarms again. Id rather have the sonik sks alarms they were great never missed a beat.. i never had so many problems. Near on threw all 4 in the lake in france.. crap mate

It's the rain it gets inside and they start messing up even if you change the battery it will keep happening that why I sold my set for a second hand set of r3s

The xtd are much much smoother. Shimano are a better real to be fair but the penns are catching up

I dont use them now bud. To be fair i was brought some shimano reals xtd 14000, my son has the penns now. But id have the penns in a heart beat but the 7000 never the 8000.

The shimano are much smoother, but the standard clutch is poor. I put the carbon washers in and there just sublime now. The penns are a lovely reel though with a nice long tapered spool but line lay is not as good as the shimano

carl sheppard not a chance. Two sticks do a better job and always will. Just makes your channel lose all credibility if you’re pushing things like this

carl sheppard less accurate that a set of distance sticks. So you’re gonna set your rod up the exact same distance from the stupid thing every time you use it? No. Besides carp swim and move around so no need to be accurate to the inch. No 2 casts will land on the exact same spot inch for inch. The stretch in your line, wind, arch of cast, the angle of the rod when you hit the clip, undertow, where the rod ends up when following the lead down, all makes variation you can’t control to the inch. Therefore being accurate the the inch it completely useless. Accurate to a couple of feet is the best you can do and guess what, distance sticks do that perfectly well. And you can leave them outside ready to be used in the rain at night, Save yourself a couple of kg in weight, save yourself time because they are faster, save £390 and not look like a massive nod in the process. There is not one thing this does over a set of metal poles that cost a tenner. Come on mate you any angler who spends time on the bank using sticks could tell you that.

@@dooda77penn19 as to be fair i had 3 Shimano xtd and them with the upgrade washers are super smooth..but if id not had them id still have me penns. My son loves them so its all win win

@@carlsheppard OK Carl thanx for the reply, I'm surprised you prefer the XTDs over the penns, I say that cause my mate had 3 XTDs and got rid after a few sessions,

Just look on ebay bud for the best prices... still going strong to this day

Yea they work What i normally do it put ur sticks in the ground at a slight outward angle not straight. Then hold ur rod up high between the sticks and reel in. Perfect

paul banks hi paul... yea with the right set up i can do 160 easy with them.. especially a pva bag.. and playing a fish under ur feet or at distances is a dream no other rods can compare with..
