    Amazing tutorial, my friend. I was evaluating different options for this cantilevered beam modelling problem and your explanation was clear enough that it made me choose Ansys. For other students out there: just look for ansys student :) free for educational/student purposes and will have most of the Ansys tools you'll need

    Hi, i used the same code for the model but shows an error when submitting the job - "Problem during linking - Abaqus/Standard User Subroutines. This error may be due to a mismatch in the Abaqus user subroutine arguments. These arguments sometimes change from release to release, so user subroutines used with a previous release of Abaqus may need to be adjusted. ". Can you kindly suggest what might be causing the error?. Thanks in advance

    Can we control time incrementation within an anlysis by monitoring a field output from the odb through python scripting? Like if the change in the displacements becomes constant I want solver to take larger time increments, Is this possible?

    Your video is very useful, but I still have one question that I wish you can answer. How to use the models established by neper in DAMASK? I have established a model whose file suffix is .vtu, and I try to translate this file in suffix with .geom suffix, but I don't know how to operate and where the orientation information is.

      Use nepers tesselation module to create geometry in tessr format(grid). Mesh the geometry using meshing module and set the mesh format to be vtk or vti(can’t remember). Go to gmsh (gmesh) and change the format of the mesh to gmsh4 from gmsh2. Load the meshed geometry to damash through -geom command

      @@YuanGao-h5x I forgot to say that after meshing the tesr file with -format vtk in neper meshing module you will also need to use damask python library command grid=damask.GeomGrid.load_Neper("file.vtk"). after saving with grid.save(f"file") your file will be vti format and will be ready to be read by DAMASK_grid with --geom command. Also if you are using neper 4.9 and damask 3.0 you are no longer need to convert gmsh versions. Do not forget to increase the number of materials in your material.yaml file by 1. I dont know why but the vti file produced through this process has 1 more grain than what you define at the beginning of the tesselation in neper -T module with -n command.
