Excellent video, could you please tell me the size of the pipe used for the top of the engine stand. Thank you.
Hey mn I’m having trouble with my FTO, do you still reply?
I have a 3,500 pound 2012 mitsubishi outlander 3.0 v6 and I can get a six second 0 to 100km (60mph) stock.
Sounds so nice :)
Fyi- if the 255 tire was new when this was tested, then the break-in layer of the tire has not fully worn down yet. Therefore the new tire would not reach its maximum grip potential.
Thank you for your comment. After extensive burnouts! the break in layer was quicky diminish. Also back in the day that was my daily driver.
Hey man, I appreciate this video! Really informative and you showed the location of every boly which is amazing!
Thank you very much for your comment. Stay tune as more videos for the fto are coming out soon!!
You should use used oil. Ig has carbon in it it tempers it as well as makes itvrust proof for awhile. It wont lasy lonv though eitber way
Thank you for taking the time to drop a comment. I didn't think it will make a difference using used oil. Although some time ago i used the same method on a gun single barrel using used engine oil. Came out good and still holds! Well i am filming another video for a better bluing method now. If you like check my other videos and pls subscribe. Lots of diy stuff coming out soon!

I had one of these GPX versions. After 5 years i upgraded to V12 SL600
Is the SL600 any faster???😁 happy about you! That's a big upgrade!

I know why 0-60 mph was 15 seconds, because it only has 60 HP.
I thought it was 80hp😁
I always loved the sound of the V6 in the FTO. It had some big advantages over it's competitor, the Integra but I guess Mitsubishi didn't sell enough. The styling is also beautiful and timeless. I'm a Honda fan boy but I'll never forget watching Jackie Chan drive an FTO off a ramp and into a yacht. I loved it in Grab Turismo too. It should have been sold here in the USA.
Welding galvanized metals is a bad idea without a really good reperator, look up “metal fume fever”.
Yes you are right and thank you pointing this out. I've used an angle grinder to remove zing from the surface of the metal prior to welding.
Well when you have more rubber to the road I'd imagine
How to decrease acceleration? Make your tires heavier. If you really wanted acceleration gains, get smaller wheels. 160hp does not need a lot of grip.
Well i came to the conclusion that the car need more grip as i never could use full throttle in launch with out excessively spinning the tires.
My smart roadster 0.7 turbo automatic gear 0-100km/h in 8s... For 2l v6 must be at least 4s to 100.
lol your smart roadster does not do 0-100 in 8 seconds... those things are slow. besides 6s for a 2l FWD V6 is quick
You know nothing about cars fool
@@JCMediaYT Stock can't do 8, remaped and bla, bla, bla can ;)
@@antanassauliussereiva1310 not really a fair comparison is it then? anything can be fast if you mod it, and to say a stock 2l v6 should be possible of a 4s 0-100 is just wrong
@@JCMediaYT Nothing is wrong if the engine have extra capasity :)
Have you dynod it yet, curious to know what power they make stock as I'm currently building one
Sorry not yet but i hope soon!
Please tell us lengths of each piece you used.
That first run, you perfectly hit the 8.0 mark. Is the S14 is a bit heavier than the S13 though? Power to weight ratio is essential for sports cars.
Do it on sports mode
Sorry can't do. I sold the car after the video!

Wow super brother
205/55 16 ist the best overall compromize. That's why it was developed and widely choosen by industry professionals. 17 inch already was some sort of 'next fashion' - 'a gift to the public'. Come to Eifel, Germany and i show you around a little on 205/55 16. (The quality of the ESP and how soft or old the compound is matters more than tire size. Way more.)(Silly enough there are no 'ESP updates' available for cars which come with 'bad' ESP - but thousands of other tire-rim combos. The quality of the ESP matters most - with fresh 205/55 16.)
Usually a good ESP with fresh 205/55 16 allows for higher cornering speeds in every speed range from 40 to 150 mph than the driver or passenger can take. They back up because they are afraid to die. Just 200 yards further into the next corner. And the ESP was still not cut of - one could think 'defect, out of order' - no, 'just not enough speed'. 'A german ESP on dry german country roads' - with the ESP knowing and allowing what the car is truely capable of.
150 for Autobahn and exits of course. And country roads are left-right transitions, together with ruts. A simple 'more wider' does not help too often.
You jumped to a much larger tire, way more weight and no horsepower increase to compensate. Going up 1 size is more than adequate for a little more grip.
is the speedometer recalibrated for the larger tyres?
very nice observation. No it is not as the radius difference is less than 2 per cent.
thank you for this video. needed it
glad to hear!
Why are applying water with the polish compound ? 🙄
Mainly because the hot weather dries the polish too fast and it gets very difficult to spread evenly to the whole part so water acts like a lubricant kind off.
Your car have somenthing wrong, it's to slow for a S14
I know what's wrong! It has no turbo. It has an SR20DE engine with only 160 bhp from the factory.
@@nicknickproductions4047 i didn't see the engine name, i thought It was the Sr20det
Sum ting Wong??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. You meant “your car has something wrong”
Late to the party but at 160bhp it doesn't seem like you'd actually spin the original tires all that much so bumping up in size and width wouldn't do much for you in a straight line.
Well late to the party too but look how things are. factory tires are 205 and honesty i had massive spin when i tried a hard launch. Wider tyres is not the solution again as the car now tends to go sideways. Next think i am going to do is to install a lsd and hope to fix the problem.
Headers, straight pipe, cold air intake on ITBs, tomei cams and a retune can get about 176hp to the wheels
Will do that as soon as i get some money. its a money issue 😞.
@@nicknickproductions4047 same here buddy recently had to trade my tuned de for a stock one and cash
Probably better off saving for a det or ls, by the time u do all those mods its just not worth the coin & will still be slow as fart, but if ur cool with it then so am i, just an idea 😃👍
@@akira5982 most expensive things I called where DET ITB's and cams for about 200 each, can also use a vvl head and block. Then again I like N/A motors in my car (fwd Primera p11) I make 232hp with all the mods stated. Not bad for an N/A motor
@@kellykun5090 fair enough mate do what makes u happy, most of our S chassis were pretty much all det, its so rare to find a na version, but if u did only mods people do is exhaust & pod filter & drive it as is, like its rare to see anyone build a na sr with itbs cams remap etc like people just dont do that here we'd start with a det & go from there, we didnt get primeras here, but we do have NA SR pulsars sss but again people would just do exhaust & pod or det swap the engine as its better bang for buck.👍
was this a troll video?
hello sir... may i ask where is OBD port lacated sir?.. i have fto sports car red color..
What is the production year of ur car?
I'd bet had you kept the same size rims at 16 inch and just gone 1 wider at 215, it would be faster.
I think you are right. Well soon i will install a lsd to see the diference.
That's actually what i did with my car and it worked. Just helped my car get straight to the point lol
I believe the gearbox in GR is exactly the same as in GPX
No it's not i have the gr 5 speed gearbox and at 8K rpm i can get 70kmph out of first 125 out 2nd . Gpx gearbox will get you 55 in 1st 100 in 2nd.
@@davidgriggs3967The GR doesn't rev to 8000rpm.
@@gerry8796 I have the gr 5 speed manual coupled to the gpx mivec engine.
Just get tires with a softer compound.
That would cause even bigger problem keeping the car on a straight line.
@@nicknickproductions4047 if it's too soft and has a low heat threshold yes but if it has a medium/high heat tolerance it will be fine
whats the bottle in red? fiber polish?

Hello friend. This is kilometers per hour.
you swapped the cluster? has the gr 7.5k redline
Hello and thank you for the comment friend! To answer you question, no i didn't change the cluster. Also mechanically, there are 3 main versions of the FTO GS - 4 cylinder 1800cc 16v DOHC engine - 130bhp GR/GX - 2.0 V6 24v non- Mivec engine - 170/180bhp GPX/GPvR - 2.0 V6 24v Mivec engine - 200bhp.
