Long Distance Turkey Bow shot

Spring 2013 Turkey Hunting. Helping some friends from Montana trying to fill their tags. After flinging two arrows and two misses, I put down the camera and picked up the bow to see if I could put the smack down on a Jake at 82 yards that dodged an arrow earlier.

    Never having used a trail cam czcams.com/users/postUgkx2sTDdZXomuxedMg_HothfjSXjR3rpPkA before, I was very impressed with the quality of the images and videos. The sensitivity of the camera can be adjusted as well as the length of video recordings. Once I found the sweet spot, I was getting great clips of deer and other animals almost every day. I was worried about battery life but have been running off the same 4 aa batteries for over a month. The SD card is easy to remove and connect to a computer. I have a Mac, and the AVI files open natively in QuickTime and are easy to save and share. This is a great, budget-friendly trail cam.

    Great detail in reviewing the cameras. I was actually surprised at how the spypoint did. I have been using their cameras for years because they have lasted here in FL. You should look at their Force 10 and Force 11B. Many of the features you discussed and you can see the listed trigger speeds. If you have a chance to review one of them it is worth it.

    Hi there I'm looking for some help we have some containers that store food for the meaty people at our church. We have about 12 volunteers that drive all over the county getting food from grocery stores that donate. We have some people that are breaking into our containers three times this year. About a month ago they broke into the containers the police officer said they get trail cameras. We were going to put a security camera system in their with all the bells and whistles for $1200. Somebody suggested trail cameras. Here is what I'm looking for. A camera that will last a month on the batteries take pictures. I am looking for three cameras three different locations . One about 100 yards out two about 50 yards out that can take a license plate number three about in the container hidden I prefer that this camera does not flash or sends any kind of signal off and no videos just pictures. If you guys have any recommendations of a trail camera please let me know I just don't want to go through 100 of these to figure out which ones I'm going to buy. I would like to keep the camera on her $150 or less. Thank you for any suggestions

    Gear Freak, has the Reconyx HC500 picture quality improved since your review? Also, could you include the Reconyx XR6 in your next review? I'm very curious to see the pic quality vs the HC600 and trigger speed and sensitivity. Assuming the HC500 and HC600 have the same camera inside.

  • @annapennrose1158
    @annapennrose1158 Před 7 lety

    Reconyx cameras are simply the best available. ALL of my other cameras have quit working, but even my oldest Reconyx camera, which is over 10 years old is still working like it is new, and the batteries last forever. It has become a camp joke at all of the other cameras that have come and died, and but all of the Reconyx cameras are still up and running. If you are in to using cameras long term. Do it right, it will pay off in the long run. You save money in battery expense alone, and you will have the confidence you did not miss anything. We put the Reconyx cameras next to other brands in the off season to see the difference. Reconyx picks up many more pictures. I only use the other cameras in areas that are less important. Picture quality is rarely a problem for me if the camera is located properly. Also, it is best to put the camera up at least 8 feet high, big bucks do not like cameras. We will put up two cameras in the same area for testing, but we put Reconyx cameras up higher than other cameras to see how the other camera works and how the deer react to cameras. When a "mature older buck" notices the lower camera they will bolt and never come back. Higher camera locations with an adjustable mount that allows you to angle down is the best way to go...if you want the older bigger bucks.
