The spike shaft and chain should be put on by the factory it would not take up much more space in box!

Where is the fucking assembly video? That's what the title says. It seems like some of this was supposed to come pre assembled but didn't. What the fuck are the mounting posts for the bag to the sweeper? They are not there and I have extra bolts. Which bolts are which? The paper manual don't even have many of the parts listed. Must be Chinese.

The wheel that drives the gear shaft keeps binding on mine even after a gear replacement on my 110 tow behind. It has the same drive wheel system.

I just got my sweeper used so there was no owners manual involved. But common sense told me to adjust the brushes to they don't dig down into the lawn (these things only have plastic gears on the wheels) I have adjusted mine on concrete so the brushes just touch the concrete. That way it only picks up what is on top of the grass (leaves and lose piles of grass clippings) And I pull it slow which not only helps it last longer, but does a better job!

This thing is a nightmare to assemble. Step 2 can't even get the plastic pieces into the metal hopper holder. No reason the majority of this shouldn't be assembled when you unbox it.

You really should look into BILT 3D Interactive Instructions for this product and probably others. I feel like it would have greatly improved my assembly time and eliminated confusion.

this spreader does not work modern zero turn mowers

On one side of the axle rod is drilled a larger hole for the larger cotter pin 3" from the end of the axle. This will not work. Two different sized cotter pins supplied,🤣 and axle does not match the one in the video. The written instructions are terrible as well. Complete garbage sent it back.

Really great videos to put the 130lb tow spreader together. I am not mechanical so I replayed over and over as I put spreader together. It was a challenge because there's quite a few pieces but this series of videos was perfect and matched parts drawing perfect so everyone putting this thing together needs to be watching these videos on their phone to refer to while making it work.

Placing the hopper on the frame and installing the bolts is best accomplished with two people. One must align the spinner shaft, axle, angle bracket and hopper while inserting the first bolt. Notice that the assemblers are using a ratchet, socket and one box wrench, even though the instructions state two combination wrenches and a pair of pliers are all that's needed. The ratchet and socket in place of one of the combination wrenches reduces the assembly time from 3 hours to 2 hours if only one person assembles the spreader. One of the wheels had an internal burr, so I had to resort to using a deep socket and hammer to drive the wheel onto the axle. The handle is wobbly where it bolts to the frame. This looseness can be seen at 2:30 in the video, causing inconsistent opening of the flow plate. Also, I was unable to calibrate the spreader even with the control assembly pushed completely forward. The flow plate didn't close completely, and it was open more than halfway when set at "5", per the instructions. The instructions that came with the product I was using called for a setting of "4", so I set the control to "3"; but the spreader still overapplied. I hope my grass doesn't die. Needless to mention that I am very dissatisfied with this product. I bought this spreader because I thought Agri Fab had a reputation for quality products. I intend to give this spreader to a friend for spreading salt at his business. I can't afford to risk killing my lawn.

I have the 48" model. I didn't receive the spring alignment wires(part 10). Has this part been eliminated for newer models?

Video and written instructions need to be updated. Installing tongue brace, part 6, minute 1:53, discusses two holes and bolts at lower/rearward end of the brace arm. The rearmost hole in a brand new unit already has a rivet in it to secure the bearing plate to the hopper. The brace does have a hole, and it sits directly on that rivet. As an engineer, I determined that leaving out the second bolt would increase flex in the hopper when loaded and moving over rough terrain. The only other option is to remove the wheels and drill out the rivet in the rearmost hole on each side of the unit. Be sure to add a washer on the inside where the fastener will pinch the hopper, which is not provided. If you are handy, it’s not a major problem. If you don’t like the idea of drilling out fasteners in a brand new item, be sure to inspect your new unit within your return window :-)

It would really make it easier to assemble it the parts had a drop of paint. color coding which part went where. Without vid, it is very hard to use the correct part.

Trying to find out why my auger belt falls off if it’s tensioner pulley

Bought one and it works great.

So you have cheeped out no extra washers for in between spacers and spikes and only one drive spike no cotter pin for the drive spike and the spacer tubes are plastic……..pathetic
