Hi, we are Rhys and Niamh and welcome to our world of Zora.
We started our boat renovation journey nearly four years ago with a dream of sailing our way around the world. While many people think sailing is all smooth seas, sunshine, sunsets, and beautiful beaches, it’s also a lot of hard work and can be incredibly challenging, we have laughed, cried and questioned a lot of our decisions within these past few years , but we wouldn’t change a thing and we hope you continue your journey along with us as we near the final few months of our boat renovation. We cannot wait to travel the seas and follow the path that the wind will take us.

Hey thanks for sharing. Enjoying your vids as am planning the same journey leaving from Laredo Spain. I'm trying to figure out timing and wondering what sailing this coast is like in winter. I seem to recall from one of your videos that you were doing it in autumn/winter, what months was this? How was the weather. looks amazing on the vids.
The Portuguese coast is tough going so pick your weather as you go. You'll be marina hopping but they are cheap. September October was pretty nice, lots of bad weather with windows in between
@@SailingYachtZora Thanks for the replay. Yes that is what I expected, not many anchorages along the coast, though think the longest section without a spot to nip into was the 50nm from Vila Nova to Sagres.
your wife should not be looking at you welding as arc eye is painful and can blind people, your really slack with your work safety procedure's, shape up captain.
ALWAYS use eye protection, with any rotary tools, please. or chiseling, drilling etc.
small rotary pump driven by battery hand drill easy peasy.
portable hand pump for fluid transfers is handy /bilge to bucket etc.
use a heat gun to soften plastic for tighter radius needed in small areas.
your life jackets need to be more at hand for emergencies please as flares also.

Nice surprise! I was hoping that that metal boat would be steered towards the higher latitudes…are you done with the youtube vlogs or can we expect more (like how does the boat hold up etcetera)
@donaldvanvliet9039 maybe, I don't know really. The boat is awesome, she's been to 26 countries now. We document everything in pretty good detail on Instagram now. The long form stuff was quite hard to keep up with here

Are you guys still out there, or back to dryland? Just came across your " Zora 2023" sign on a placard in destroyed Carriacou in a video from Adventure Crews at 15:34. It made me wonder if I am still subscribed and how you are doing.
We are currently 170 Miles off the coast of Greenland, we post on Instagram under the same name. CZcams became too much extra work for us

It's good to see that you're using the kill-cord properly. Far too many boaters seem to forget that the prop becomes a very efficient mincing machine if they don't use the kill-cord and subsequently fall out of the boat!
