I`m sorry you lost David. That must be very hard for you all. My son and I were only saying yesterday how sad we still are at Bert`s passing. He was a big part of my life through his music. My son was brought up with Pentangle and we still value all of your presences in our lives.

Yeats got beats. Gorgeous melody. I always interpreted this poem as a sort of departure, a swan song though he was quite young when he wrote it. Makes me think of the strange ironies of music- it is written in solitude and shared in tumult. Your voice is stunning, always was.

Discovering your work and the efforts of two(!) of the greatest guitar players ever, really added nuance to my humble efforts. Mostly though, you have given me great joy, many times. Thank you.

Dear Jacqui, I have just visited Jethro Tull's website, and I was devastated to learn of the passing of Gerry. I never had a chance to meet Him personally, but I am sure He was a hugely likeable guy, and I greatly enjoyed his drumming. Please, accept my condolences. With much love from Poland.

Been a Pentangle fan since 1972 and my husband (also a long time fan) and I saw you and John Renbourn perform together at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA, in 2003, which I'm so grateful we were able to do. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful rendition on CZcams.

Still the wonderful voice, echoes of all that you have given us, and Mike & Kevin are superb accompanists! Nice acoustics hall too!

Utterly fabulous. Bert was Bert, nuff said. The contrast between the voices of Jacqui and Bert is wondrous, and the subtle and supremely musical contributions of Rod, Nigel and Gerry are perfect. Bought this one when it came out. Nothing like a good Scottish murder ballad. :) Thank you, Jacqui.

(this was performed on Petee Seeger's Rainbow Quest by Penny Whistlers in 1966! a stunning version)... did this 1971 concert in the U.K. really occur or was it a utopian dream?)... I used to play Renbourn's La Rotta? which i heard in the piece above.. on my radio show.. thanks for posting this ...what a birthday gift! Now if we can only locate the 30-year long lost Licorice of ISB then life is perfect again.
