Switch is easily an eighth gen console tbh. It easily wins out of Gen 8. Gen 9 however is unclear as it is still going on, plus Nintendo has yet to release a ninth gen console.

Winners from fifth generation onwards, the way I see it (I won't comment on the earlier ones since I wasn't around yet): 5th: PlayStation wins for sure 6th: PS2 obviously 7th: Wii 8th: PS4 9th: Switch. I think it's fair to call it ninth generation since the 8th already had the Wii U and the Switch is still relevant now with new games being released for it.

So i played every zelda game up to the release of totk just like you did and my opinions on the entire series changed. So now i don't know which is my favorite. It was clearly majora's mask in the past but having played more and for more time, it has been a mess so i can't choose a favorite anymore. I've grown to hate phantom hourglass. My absolute least favorite game in the series and a game i think isn't even worthy of being in the series. Twilight Princess has also been a major disappointment recently but at least i had a lot of fun out of it unlike phantom hourglass. But yeah twilight princess is not even top 10 for me anymore. I think that's it. I've also had some minor opinion changes on specific dungeons or parts of games but that's about what my list is like now. Oh and btw tears of the kingdom is one of my favorites. Nintendo did it again

To each their own, but I strongly disagree with you ranking Ocarina of Time so low. It would definitely be my #1. I also disagree with you saying the 3DS version is better than the N64 version. The N64 version is more atmospheric whereas the 3DS version feels far less dark. And the game was designed around the N64 controller, and like many games that were designed around the N64 controller, it just doesn't feel right without it.
