Bro you aren’t getting the point, why are we being forced into animations? You can’t do anything when someone triggers that dunk. For a “Better” example, look at that first dunk. I trigger the dunk animation and it forces a defender that wasn’t remotely near me into a contact dunk animation. THIS IS THE PROBLEM IM TALKING ABOUT. Not if “oh they weren’t playing enough defense so you should be FORCED to get dunked on.”

Y’all still are not seeing the problem why should you be thrown into a dunk animation if you don’t even have an opportunity to contest the dunk. Just last night in the finals game, Jaylen Brown went up for a dunk and Max Kleber had a moment to analyze if he wanted to jump with Jaylen, but he came to his senses and did not jump. In 2k you would have been forced to get dunked on by the game because you are in close vicinity. This is the problem.

No. It really doesn’t. I’ve seen interior defenders with Defensive takeover get put into a Dunk animations. It may be a harder contact dunk to complete with a “better” defender, but my point still stands, why do they force you into the animation with no way to prevent the outcome.

You can’t do anything against a FORCED animation. You can’t defend it, you can’t play any better defense. You are thrown into it. You can be one step from the three point line and can be put into an animation.

@@ThaTwinsssthats the point of the meter if forces contact dunks but every year they break it to where the green window is to big u never been able to really stop the meter dunk animations since they brought it to the game in 2k22🤷🏾instead of randomly getting a dunk with the X button they gave u a option to get it every time but u gotta time it and their no counter to it in the game besides pressing Y and hoping the game on yo side

@@oao__bdon1577 you can’t even press Y when someone triggers a contact dunk. That is the only thing I’m trying to get at. You don’t have an option to do anything. I’m not opposed to the “Skill Dunk Meter” but it shouldn’t Force Someone into any animation that is broken. Regardless if the dunker gets a Very Early, the defender is still forced into an animation and has to wait.

I get what you’re saying but If I make a build off purely potential in badges and attributes, I want the most out of my investment. At the end of the day, it’s a video game and fluctuating badges seems like a miss from 2k.

But there’s a Problem. You shouldn’t get stunned AT ALL, You shouldn’t be thrown into an ankle breaker animation AT ALL, IF you stay in front of somebody and DON’t go the other way. lol these animations only make sense if they are realistic.

A smaller window is cool and all, but the real problem is forcing you into a contact dunk animation everytime.

Personally, Steals were the worst we’ve ever seen them in Season 1. All people did was spam X/Square and were rewarded. The problem is the way in which steals work, they only work well within canned animations they put the defense in to lose the ball.

Blocks are super broken, I have a 6’8 SF with 94 block for HOF chase down and I either get the craziest block animation you’ve ever seen or it’s the worst block attempt ever lol why can’t I just be an elite shot blocker why does it have to be so animation based

One could argue that being able to build your player up easier can encourage you to make more builds to keep the game fresh

Their passing rating should have nothing to do with your ability to catch the ball only The ability for them to place an accurate ball off the dribble

@@marcust6479 im sorry but everybody in the NBA Can make an accurate pass standing from the top of the key. Pass rating should only ever effect pass out of shots, off the dribble passes, bounce passes, and flashy passes. Having a teammate run a play to the corner for you not to he able to make an accurate pass from the top of the key is Nasty.
