does anyone know if it is as easy to swap barrels on a California gun, I heard they were pinned or something. Thanks.
Not sure exactly what you are asking. I would check your local laws to make sure that you can have a threaded barrel.
@@beyondthescreenoutdoors I’m just trying to find out if the the barrel can be removed in the same way on a California version of this gun, by just removing one Allen screw. I thought I had read somewhere that somebody had said the barrel on the California version is permanently fixed to the receiver/frame. I don’t necessarily want a threaded barrel. I would just like to be able to swap it out. I don’t own the gun yet, that’s why I’m trying to find out as much as possible before the purchase. Thanks.
Have you gone whitetail hunting with this setup? I’m stuck in a shotgun and handgun only zone for whitetail. Wondering if this could be a good alternative. My max range will be around 100 yards with an average target range of 20-50 yards
I haven’t but the 6.5 creedmoor round would be sufficient for whitetail especially at those distances. Can you utilize a tripod? If so then you can mount this and it would work great.
@@beyondthescreenoutdoors awesome, I was just curious if it’s the ballistics are enough out of a 12.5 barrel. I’ll be hunting out a ladder stand mostly, so I’ll have a good rest.
Gotcha. I have confirmed coyote kills with it at 587 yards. It does lose some because of how short the barrel is but for the distances that you are talking I think you would be just fine especially with a heavier bullet.

Hey man the under barrel screw is 7/64. Is that the one you were wondering about? Sorry it took me so long to get back to you
@@beyondthescreenoutdoors turns out that I had the correct Allen wrench the whole time but it was Chinese garbage and just didn't fit into the screw. I local gun shop just gave me an Allen wrench to use so I'm good to go. Thank you though!

Yes we are helping to control the population. This area is full of deer and young calves in the fall and spring time and the coyotes wreck havoc on them if we don’t manage them.
Where did you get that barrel
It is a proof research. They make a prefit barrel and you can find them at Brownells or places like that!
Is that the target moving back and forth in the wind, or your spotting scope video? Looks like the target. I'm sure that changed paper placement if that's the case.
It is the target. Right when I started the wind picked up and I didn’t have my stakes for my target stand. Im sure it did change it a little.

@beyondthescreenoutdoors that doesnt really average out does it? I mean accounting for the time it takes to process it, that's about what $1.00 or so an hour? I guess it's still worth it considering your getting rid of the problems they cause on your property. Agh, it's probably a win win anyway if you think about it. @@bradleywayne3943 Sorry I should have been more clear. We have a good friend that processes them and he makes more than that but that is what he pays us for the coyote. (As long as it does not have to big of a hole in it 😉)
