If I remember right, and I'd have to download and check to make sure this is correct, instead of time stamps that the new save system works off of it's now just the most recent save number. So it's either the highest save number or the lowest save number that is your most recent save that you have to replace. Let me down load the game again and see if I can figure it out again.

This still works it's just a little bit different than before. I'll post a description explaining the changes and how to do it.

Yes, the math on when to repair will always be up to date because it's just regular math that I used with the numbers the devs provided on the equipment. There's no trick to it, it's just regular math. The percentages on the mech weight is specifically what the math was for to keep the mech weight above the lines weight, so the reels' mech wont break instead of the line. However the other percentages of when to repair, like the line guides and friction brakes, are really up to the player and don't need math to figure out. If I were to go back and change any info on the video I'd say I'd suggest not repairing the line guides of the poles till about 50%. It's fine at around 15% - 30% for cheaper rods but later on when you've got super expensive rods it can be costly. on top of that people are starting to realize that line guides don't do hardly any damage whatsoever to the line.

Yeah Bear can be a little frustrating like that. I believe it was supposed to be a crossing point between Old Burg and carping with wet bread and potatoes and starting to use the more advanced Boilies. So sometimes it becomes really active and you can use Boilies and catch more Leather and Mirror carp, and others it drops off and you're forced to use potatoes and wet break for simple Common Carp. Then other times it just falls flat with no hot spots. So I always skip it completely when leveling an account.

Yeah none of that is true. The line that is attached to the end of your fly line is the leader, it starts thick then tappers off to be really thin so the fish can't see it. Tippet is a thin line that is specifically made to be tied to the end if your leader to replace the thin line that you've cut multiple flies off of and so you don't have to replace the leader. By not adding on tippet your cutting back to thicker parts of the line where the fish can start to see it and will stop biting as much. There are leaders that are different lengths that are made specifically for different fly fishing scenarios. 5 foot for tight spots with lots of bushes and trees, 12 foot for long distance casting, 7 foot for in between scenarios. If you're not using the right length of leader for the specific scenario your fishing in then you're not fly fishing correctly. Buying a much longer leader just so you don't have to tie tippet on the end isn't the way to properly prepare for the spot you're going to be fishing in. Tippet is literally created to be tied to the end of your leader or to the end of other tippets. As long as you use a proper knot, like a surgeons knot, and you spit on or soak the knot while you tighten it then the liquid negates the friction that tightening it causes and doesn't weaken the line. Multiple tippet lines can be tied to other tippet lines and it doesn't make a difference if done correctly.

As far as I know you can't switch hands. However if you really want to, a spin reel forces you to hold the rod in your right hand while reeling with your left. A casting reel forces you to hold the rod in your left while reeling with your right.

Cheap lures have cheap low grade hooks you'll get a lot of "fish got off" messages. Replace the hooks with higher quality hooks and it helps get less "fish got off" messages but you'll still get them every now and then. Depending on what stock hook the lure or spinner comes with it will always affect the "fish got off" message rate. If you're lure comes with great high quality hooks as stock, which most of the high star rated lures do, you'll see much less "fish got off" messages. However, you'll always get some.

For the most part yes. There is a little bit of a debate on if the line guide wear on a rod wears the line down faster, they may have changed that in new updates, but in the past the moderators said it does. Personally I don't repair my Ocean Queen till about 60% line guide wear. It's a little expensive and I've found that you don't see an increase in line wear going that high. As for the beluga c30 it depends on how you use the reel. If you fish for smaller fish or allow the fish to run and wear itself out then you can go upwards of 50% wear on the mech. However, if you're someone like me who likes to full lock or tentative lock the reel then having your mech weight as high as possible is huge and I would repair at around 15% - 20% wear. Just remember if you're using a casting reel, your bearing wear affects your casting distance. So if you're on Norway just dropping your line you can go 60%+ wear, but if you're spinning and casting you're going to want to repair at around 30%. As far as friction brake, again that depends on how you fish. Small fish 30%+ wear. Big fish 15% wear. Big fish short line 5% - 10% wear. The more wear the harder it is to get a fish to wear out and come in.

Wobbles don't jig step and never have. In fact the only two things that wobblers don't do are jig step and walk the dog. Jig step works by the lure touching and sitting on the ground for a certain amount of time and then leaving the ground. When you reel the wobbler sinks and may hit the ground, but still moves. When you stop reeling the wobbler floats. This makes it impossible for the jig step to work on wobblers. But yes the ghost jig step works on everything because technically the lure moving at all makes fish spawn and bite. However fishing techniques actually only increase the bite rate.

@@midnightgamingwithmysticni947 yeah I know this is bs because I saw it with my own two eyes, did it with my own two hands, but I suppose it must have been a glitch, jigstep with wobblers was my favorite way to do it and I still do it with the technique because I don't get bites if I do a straight retrieve. I am happy to hear what techniques you recommend for wobblers though

@@samuelhugo3387 Sorry man but I've been playing since the game launched and the wobblers have never been able to jig step. When you stop reeling with them they float, so jig step was impossible. In fact here is a post on the RF4 forums made by Levy, who was a moderator on the game, where half way down the page he showed the techniques you could do with different rig setups in a table. This post is back in 2019 and as you can see, you couldn't do jig steps with wobblers back then either. Only thing I can think of is you're confusing spoons with wobblers in your memory. As far as wobblers if you're trolling you don't really need to do anything, but if you must speed up is easiest. If you're sitting in a boat or on the bank all the techniques work the best, but stop and go are my favorite. You don't have a choice, you have to use a fluoro leader that is smaller than 7kg or the browns won't bite. You were unlucky. It's very rare that pike are big enough here to cut a fluoro leader. I've always used a 3kg fluoro leader fishing here for years and never had a pike bite through it.

Not true. That's why I put 3 different types of builds in the video. Expensive, upgraded but affordable, and newbie cheap. The newbie cheap build is almost free. You get the rod and reel completely free from starting the game. All you have to buy is the 3kg - 5kg 350m braided line, 3kg - 6kg leader and a couple lures. All those things should be less than 250 silver which is very easy to get float fishing on Mosquito for a few hours as a newbie. By the time you open Bel you should have all the gear you need if you're a newbie and only bought those items.

Tea and coffee, coffee being the best gives energy and comfort. So if you're fighting a fish and you need energy quickly go for coffee or tea. If you're fighting a fish and you need comfort to help speed up your energy regeneration AND you need energy then coffee and tea again. However if you're not fighting a fish, it is really bad weather and your comfort is low, it can stop your energy from regenerating fast. That is when you want to use hot cocoa to bring your comfort up. However if the Christmas event is still going on the best energy AND comfort drink in the game is available at the snowmen shop. It's called Sbiten. It is the best drink in the game for comfort and energy, so if you have the silver buy a few hundred before the holiday event ends.

Hot spots change weekly if not daily. At the time of this video I was facing the correct hot spot direction.

Ground bait always depends on the main bait you use. If you have tuti fruiti boilie as your main bait then you make a ground bait with tuti fruiti chopped up boilies and tuti fruiti dip. Any pellets or other flavors of ground bait additives that are also tuti fruiti you throw those in as well. If you use two different flavors you split them both up and put both flavors in the ground bait. I have an Amber Lake video that talks a bunch about ground baits. Yup they sure did. A lot of people were pretty pissed about it saying it ruined leveling food altogether. I think they did it because it made it so you'd have lots of different stacks of food with different qualities. In the end it kind of cluttered up the food inventory when trying to eat.
