A channel about me and my family and our adventures in reenactment, making garb food good times and medieval armor, HEMA, Buhurt, LARP and just trying to find a way to keep the game going. There will be lots of warhammer and comics references. And maybe some other stuff about weapons just for fun. I've been doing medival games and larps since 1993. I was also a police officer and in the Army National Guard. I have a relatively extensive background in some Japanese martial arts, as well as having been a ppct defensive tactics instructor for my former police department. Currently I make my living as a professional civilian Firearms instructor. Just trying to find a way to keep playing in a world that keeps going crazy. I'm middle-aged I'm a man and I have been in my own fashion leading the life of arms so that's where the channel of the channel comes from

Hmmm, it can help to wear a linnen coif when putting on the maille hauberk. So it is easier for the maille to slight over the head. The coif makes the head rounder so its a better surface for the maille to fall off from. Nice armharness!! Good idea to use those elastic strings to rest your arms! Did you already finished the surcoat!? Nice video btw!!

Try a spear after the sword

Thats the problem with fiberglass cores, not thick enough. Nothing like 3/4 to 1 inch bamboo for a core.
I like ash or hickory but that is a bit stiff for the games we were playing that day.
I'm from the Indiana Jones school of sword fighting, a Colt 1917 Revolver wins any sword fight at a distance.

Lucky him. I’ve sat in the cabs of two Big Boys. 4005 and 4014. Plus, I’ve sat in 4014’s cab last year which I never thought I’d do. In its operable condition, it was pretty warm in there.

That's exactly the idea.
Next up, try some one handed Spear and Shield in offhand. Getting accurate in one hand will help with the two handed accuracy too.
I also noticed, I use two-handed spear on the opposite side of ya! :P
I do some stuff "backwards" due to messed up left hand.
