She’s right about the eggs. The creaming also incorporates air to help with lift. A little baking powder does more to lighten the texture than providing lift. It takes a teaspoon of baking powder for each cup of flower to lift a cake. I’ve never made a pound cake that called for any type of milk. I generally make cream cheese or 7 Up. I’ll have to start exploring.

I just made some also but I use powdered sugar

These were sooo good! I patted them down with my fingers to make them really big, Oh wow what a bit! I put them in a tim with parchment, they lasted for days, still crisp. Thank You!

My Mom made these for us ever weekend to have as a snack after school was out. Only 2 per kid lol that was 10 We never used nutmeg or evaporated milk. Mom used extra vanilla and whole milk.

New Subscriber! Hey this the 2nd youtubers channel I've heard use banana extract i keep that flavoring so I will try it in one of my pies.. i make sweet potato pie yest round usually 4 to 6 pies at a time my family's favorite pies 😊

They are good

They are to flat, you added to much butter for the amount of flour used. That's why they're extra brown on the end because of the extra butter causing them to spread
