Thank you for this! There isn't a roller derby league where I live, mainly due to lack of appropriate facilities. But I'm very interested in spectating online haha! You explained certain scenarios really well, so now I feel like I have a deeper understanding of the rules :)

Thanks for the informative videos! Would you be able to make a video explaining multiplayer blocks? "4.1.4. Multiplayer Blocks Skaters may not form a wall by linking with or grasping a teammate, or otherwise forming an impenetrable connection. This action warrants a penalty if an opponent attempts to get between them and fails to do so due to the illegal formation" I really confused by this, because when I watch the games I see three blockers forming a "tri-pod" where they literally are grasping each other to form a wall that jammers have to attempt to get between. The jammer can rarely get through and can only push the tri-pod out of the engagement zone--that's the only way they can pass them. I see some championship games where this is all that both teams do? Why isn't that a penalty?

Correction: at 3:05 I meant to say out of bounds* not out of play. Out of play is not in the engagement zone but still on the track. Out of bounds is off the track.
