I hate when people say things like "she was flat the whole song." That's something that people who have no idea about music say when they don't like a cover. And yes, her voice has a constant vibrato that some people find annoying. However, so does Tom Petty. But people still love Tom Petty. But don't listen to an Ellie Goulding song and complain about her voice wavering. That would be like watching Doctor Who and complaining about British accents.

I think the music level was a little overbearing. She does best when her voice carries over the music. But you're just here to lay on some fanboi hate....do what ya do.

This is awful. Her voice is wavering and too weak to compete with Nate Ruess's Freddie Mercury-esque power. Not to mention, she's flat for most the tune. It doesn't take auto tune for great vocalists to sing on pitch. She's just not a great vocalist. What a shame. Perhaps a cover by Imogene Heap would be more satisfying.

Bare in mind, guys who dislike this, Ellie has not had any auto-tune done to her voice because she sund this live on Radio 1. I think this cover is incredible anyway, but for people who don't, please realise she's amazing and this version of the song is aswel. Danke!
