Nice presentation. Too bad home video was not around in the 1960s because the leader of the SHL was quite a live wire. Those of us who knew him from outside Columbia U just knew him as Bob Martin (or his preferred form, Robert A. Martin Jr AKA "RAM"). Bob could be a fine wit when he wanted to be, and his joy with the US Navy was his special obsession. He did actually join, though he was not in all that long. When I met Bob I had just completed my first year of service and he managed to join, go through basic, get stationed to Italy, and still beat me out. By 1972 he was free enough that we both thumbed across the country together, having many odd adventures and finally saying farewell in Los Angeles. At that time he was studying Buddhism and carried around a copy of the I Ching, often deciding what we'd do that evening. Though we had a non-physical relationship I did meet one of his lovers. Although he didn't live as long as he probably wanted to, he had a very well-lived life. I did not know he died till recently- after marriage, a lot of us lose touch with everyone. It is good to know he is remembered. Quite a vivid soul -- thanks for letting everyone else know him.
@0:55 Why does McWorter think it's funny that he'd rather ear bash students with his political commentary than TEACH THE ACTUAL SUBJECT they have spent considerable $$$ to learn? Extremely disrespectful fat headed behaviour - hardy harr wot fun eh professor?
I love how these professors don't give a f&#$ about students opinions 😂😂😂
Most people in college shouldn't be there at all, and regrettably, most are the instructors.

They should be protesting against Hamas for their lack of attention and action in support of the Palestinian people. These idiots likely don't know Hamas has governed the Gaza strip since 2007 after Israeli settlers and the IDF pulled out from the area.
