Not recognized. Such courses are making a mockery of dentistry and dermatology both. Such doctors can be penalized for practicing dermatology without valid degree. No such shortcut is valid. Jaago graahak jaago

Unethical to the core. To all the dentists, it is not legal to do any cosmetology procedures after these stupid courses. Also to the people saying dermatology and cosmetology are different, cosmetology is a part of our field as well. We are not only trained to identify and treat skin diseases but to do any procedures related to skin. -Sincerely A MD dermatologist

Hello. Being a dentist i agree with you. But there is field of dentistry as u may know, omfs. Oral amd MaxilloFacial Surgeons. They are highly trained and they do facial surgeries including cleft, trauma cases, head and neck oncology, oral cancer, facial cosmetology etc. i agree that only trained dentists or maxiilofacial surgeons are allowed to do it. Plus this is medical field. A lot of areas are overlapping and it has a multidisciplinary approach. Just for example. A tranied maxillofacial surgeon does cleftlipandpalate and craniofacial surgery. Also a MS or Mch surgeon does it. And i can give another 100examples also. So its just getting traned as much as you can and working on it. Plus there r rules and regulations to this. All of them follow it. Not a dentist who just passed out goes and does craniofacial surgery. Theres a whole process to it. First bds then mds in omfs. Then craniofacial super speciality then, fellowship in cleft. Etc. well known example Dr Sunil Richardson. Just check him up on youtube. U MD doctors can just sit there and complain all day long. Rather think widely and provide treatment to the needful.
To be ownest....OMFS surgeons have more knowledge than you ...specifically in head and neck regions...becoz we spend additional 3 yrs only on face and facial skin not on whole body as u dermatalogist do....so we have deeper knowledge in facial section of a body as compare to u guys..so we r just using it ....and for ur knowledge dentistry is still more luxrative than any other profession....we r not doing i for money...we r doint it becoz we know how to do it. A sincere, OMFS SURGEON...
