The Fruit of The Spirit is Life, so what Eve took was a bite of Life when she tried to take Adam's place as head of household instead of helping him to tend the garden instead of taking control of the garden when told they would be like God. They were already made in The Image of God but the promise of power corrupts. Then they failed to take responsibility for what they had done and chose to hide instead of comeing clean.

Our sufferings are not taken away. It is for us to lean and depend on God in our sufferings as HE is our only Hope. Let us pray that we are blessed with a heart that thirsts for our Lord Jesus and we realise HE is our LORD and WE are HIS PEOPLE. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord;[a] 5 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. 6 And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; 7 and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Let these words be written in our HEARTS and let us be faithful and obedient to our LORD to pass our catholic faith to our families and children.

As you mentioned sufferings teaches us to hope in the Lord. Suffering can either bring us close to him or take us away from him...the choice is ours. People ...the good figs ...goes into exile and suffers ...but God already has a plan for them and His Mercy will come upon them in the end. But the people who were the bad figs must have rejoiced and mocked at the people going into exile thinking curse had come upon the exiled good figs. But it's going to be the other way...the judgement is going to come upon the people who are the bad figs. Thank you Father Warner .Hope you had a well rested weekend. Happy Feast to you too❤

Jeremiah gives me hope just as I see through the window from yr left after a long distance then a greenary, how much that u share also teaches me that there is hope What a beautiful teaching on mama Marys birthday. Listen to him, the word the word teaches me to be repentent beverday to gain the kingdom of God. Love the assonance and alliteration in your choice of words, what a perfect way to reinforce our Catholic Faith. I remember the Fire and Brimstone retreat preachers, the Redemptorist of my younger years. They never minced words when it came to what we need to do and what we cannot do!
