I really appreciate the respect you gave to people you spoke to. I’ve had very few times where I’ve had to deal with the police and each time they were egomaniacs or acted like they were above me. I also really appreciate the DUI stop. My friend was recently in an accident with a young woman who went over the curve, hopped the median and smashed into the front his 2022 Ram 1500 Sport. His vehicle was totalled but he swears the reason he’s alive is because it was that truck. If he was in the little Mazda 3 he owned just 2 months prior he thinks he wouldn’t have walked away. I’ve always tried my best to make sure I’m not on the road on weekends between 00:00-06:00. Thank you for your outstanding service and your mutual respect towards those you encounter. Keep it up, officer.

Inspired me to become a Police Officer real talk

This police station is exactly what I would want the job to be like. Everything seems to be so fun and respectfull, everybody loves their job and all seem to be happy. Also the staff is super diverse, from latino to asian and black, every minority is present. It wouldnt surprise me if there was a gay/lesbian cop too. This entire setting seems like a Netflix's cop show. Like the kind of cops who would meet after work and be a really close family who support each other in hard times in and off the job. But I live in germany. Everything is so different here. Like the police is always 100% cis straight white men, absolutely not diverse, everybody is cold and unfriendly. They all take their job extremely serious and theres just no space for fun. They never spend any time together outside of work. Everyone seems to be depressed and stressed. Just a very dark, depressing and cold work environment. Very harsh rules and restricitons that kill of any joy or fun of the job. Also there is this stereotype of the german police being a straight-mens club with many rumours of racist activities. All in one a very unwelcoming, cold, unsocial and veeeery serious work environment. Does anyone have any idea why there is such a big difference? Like I would immediately join a US California Cop Station but never in my life want to be a german cop
