It was essentially street fighter 2 combat.....plus focus attack. It was an excellent game. I think super street fighter 4 was the best version.

No dlc? Super street fighter 2 is sooo much different from the world warrior it's not even the same game. There was like 12 different SF2s and hundreds of patches that took a month or more each time. Remember when you couldn't safe jump Ken because he had a zero frame shoyruken? Or when Honda had a jumping heavy punch that counted as a low instead of a jump in? Took months to patch each one. I wished dlc was a thing in the 90's lol.

He is, has terrible defence. He didn't face the characters in this tournament that give him the most trouble, Gen and Bison are good match up styles for him. Vega is awful against Shotos or proper rush down characters.

Supposedly he was bottom 2 in vanilla, mid tier in Super onwards

No it isn't you're just bad @ every other one, also SF3 & alpha 2 exist.

SF6 followed V’s formula in of emphasizing on & reinventing gauges & the mechanics tied to them which are what defined THE meta. I’m starting to believe people who comment stuff like this didn’t play the series until V or 6, IV is widely accepted as the return to the Street Fighter template laid in SFII & built on in Alpha. This is also why a lot of 3S players didn’t move on to playing IV & a lot of OG players, who hated 3S, returned to play IV. It’s okay for SF players not to like the newer games which took out a lot of the things they grew up loving about them. Just like it’s okay for you to like the game that went a complete different direction. 3S players owned that their SF was different & enjoyed it despite the hate & the arcades dying. Its 2024, you have the 24/7 access to your game due to online gaming, which means more people are actively playing SF6 at any time than any SF in history, & yet you guys get sensitive if someone doesn’t like SF6 or praises another SF over it… under USFIV tournament video too lol
