I love the articulation you get on the 8th notes in the trio. The one thing I noticed about your recording, is that the device you were using has AGC engaged, which means it leveled out your awesome pp dynamics.

Nice rendition of Army Blue. I'll see if Moore Music can get me a copy of volumes 1 and 2. Once quick question.... For younger students (13 years old or less), do you introduce the open hand? I tend to favor waiting until about 14-16 years of age to give the hand time to grow and open up.

Why even use a double *_bass_* and then only use the top half of the top string? There's not a note there that couldn't have been played on a cello instead, and maybe even a viola.
