GCJ is such a tone master. He has a very interesting and unique style. I like how he leaves so much space in his solos and lets those long double stop bends sit, so he can build the solo up. A lot of guys think they need to come out of the gates and immediately shred on a guitar solo but that isn't the case. You have to leave yourself room to build up a solo. He establishes a motif at the begenning of the solo and then builds the solo off of its foundation. He saves the fast playing and even bigger bends for the end of the solo to create a climax but the lets the solo down nice and easy and right back in the groove. This is how you tell the difference between a guy that just does technical licks and somebody who can really play.

War heute mal wieder auf Helge Schneider Konzert.. Helge ist der ALLERBESTE. Dagegen ist Rammstein Kindergeburtstag... Und wer bitte ist Lindenberg? Ein Kurort im Westallgäu? Oder Marius Müller Westernplagen... Das war doch so ein Schauspieler. Genauso wie dieser Gröhlemeyer. oder die Doktoren, oder diese Höschen Punker aus Düsseldorf mit ihrem Lutschbonbon als Oberschreihals... Helge steckt sie alle in den Sack. und dann noch seine Filme.... Dr. Hasenbein, Jazzclub, etc. pp... Texas, Doc Snyder und wie sie alle heißen. Man müsste als Vergleich schon die Eloquenz eines Karl Lagerfeld bemühen, um nur einen einigermaßen ebenbürtigen Geist innerhalb der deutschen Sprachinsel zu benennen. Musikalisch gesehen ist Helge Schneider unerreicht. Und dies auch im Film.
