Choirmaster Zack has been an organist/choirmaster (choirmaster is the 'old' term for a parish musician/choir director/organist - someone that is responsible for the music of a church). He studied opera/voice performance, music composition at Temple University in Philadelphia. Zack also attended Westminster Choir College in the Church Music Performance Certificate program. Zack also holds a colleague certificate from the American Guild of Organists (CAGO).
He has held several organ positions through the years: St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (Glenmoore, PA), St. Mark's Episcopal (Honeybrook, PA) and St. John's Lutheran (Richlandtown, PA) being the most recent. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and the Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO) Follow along on Zack's channel to learn about church music performance and history, and to listen to good music performed by Zack.

Hi Zack. It’s Parth I was just thinking about you and found this channel through Google. It hope you are well.
Luther used it. Bach jazzed it up, Regina Fryxell gave us this melody line in the 1958 SBH, Ronald Nelson jazzed it up in 1970 in the Contemporary Worship 2 test booklet, which later became LBW 2.

I am the organist for Bethlehem Lutheran in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Our pipe organ is used every Sunday. I'm so sorry, but despite maximizing the volume controls at my access, I am unable to hear the speaker on this video. Sorry to miss this.

Wow, still using the LBW? ELW is so much better in hymns and harmonizations, much like SBH was. More Bach too. LBW sucked with the disco hymn harmonizations and the LCMS hymns we got stuck with. The only hymn I detest in ELW is the PC version of All Creatures of our God and King.
Are Lutherans still Christian.

I love that hymn I think that we definitely need the elw books for the choir and congeration since you like to play hymns out of it and we know what the congerationand choir is singing
I see now why I always had a difficult time with the pedals when I played. I never thought about using my heels.
Heel - toe - Heel - toe ... Most organ method books will mark heel with an square with the bottom cut out and toe with an inverted hair pin - although in the baroque method, the toe is usually prefered
