Unlimited class is as fast as you dare, but requires roll cage, fire system, fire suits, etc. Ran a 187.6mph average in a twin turbo Porsche 911. 207 mph on the straights with rev limiter disabled.

I assembled a stock bore and uncut deck lm7 type from a 4.8 pullout using k1 forged crank for 5.3 (Didn't want to go high on stroke to preserve the walls and the pistons and also maintain as much material on top of piston), used maxspeedingrods h-beams with a 6.25 SBC length, and summit pro pistons I believe 1800-3780. Had it all balanced for like 250. Ported 862s and twin china 76s at 29lbs on pump 85 shifting at 8200 rpm. The summit stuff is good enough for me and the car makes over 200 HP per liter. Entire engine was under 2k total. I did blow out a head gasket and torch a hole through one of the heads when the head lifted/warped. I've since been using fire ring gaskets on stock 61cc chamber heads.

This is the info I was looking for. My trucks motor needed a whole bottom end replacement so I decided to make a 408 stroker since I found a forged 4 inch stroke crank locally. Was looking at the 6.125 rods with the summit pistons for the stroker because they're by far the best pricing I've found for them. Now I can feel better about ordering them. Thank you

You don't need headers or a fresh air intake on a mostly stock engine. On that model truck from the late 90's to present - remove the stock air box and cut out the air inlet on the box and cut out anything on the inner fender to allow more air in. The exhaust flows just fine with the addition of a little torque cam. Stop acting like a ricer and eliminating what the engineers designed for that horsepower vehicle. That stock air intake once opened up at the air inlet side and stock exhaust flow enough to give you pulling power enough to pull almost anything. Tubular exhaust headers are a waste on a stock engine. Peak torque occurs between 4000 and 4800 RPM max - headers don't add enough of anything at that RPM range to make a large enough difference to justify the expense and time. The best recipe is open up the air box inlet side with a fresh Wix air filter - stock exhaust - test pipes instead of cats - regular use of and changing regularly full synthetic engine oil - drain your transmission when you change the engine oil - service the rear end with synthetic gear oil - use LT tires and inflate them to 50 psi - use super unleaded fuel - Ethanol free if it is available - and before you go on the trip pour two cans of Sea Foam for high mileage vehicles and fill up with Super and drive a tank out of it before you hook up and tow anything. If you install a ricer air intake and exhaust headers you eliminate the tune the engineers designed into the intake and exhaust tracts - and that shitty intake get up will be tuned to a different frequency than the exhaust headers and the out of tune frequencies will interfere with one another and cause a loss in overall engine performance. And that new POS air filter is also suckling in more hot air now that it is not sealed against the inner fender like the stock intake - causing additional loss in potential horsepower and towing performance. I am an old guy with four decades of experience with GM trucks - and I will be the first to say - you're doing it wrong.
