I've read that a Delta Pro (3600W) by itself, with NO solar input, will carry a typical AC window unit for about 8-10 hours. Anyone confirm?

@lonestarprepping Thanks so much for taking the time to create this video. I may have missed it, but do you normally leave one of your radios on WX 24/7 so that it will alert you if you are otherwise not monitoring the weather any other way? Or do you rely on your cell phone to alert you and only then turn on your WX radio to get the details? I figured when I get one of these I would plug it into the wall and leave it on (Wx mode) all the time.. Is there anything wrong with that? Thanks!

The Midea 8000 btu with inverter uses less wattage and cools a larger area. The difference is window units with a built in inverter are more energy efficient.

This is super helpful. I've been watching a few Olympia Wave videos with an eye on buying one for my van. The Propane smell is killer for me so that takes care of the Buddy. I like the safety of this one. In my trailer I used an oil heater as I have to have quiet but it did burst a leak on me once (with the emphasis on burst - oh yeah - what a mess) so now I'm considering this one as I figure it's quiet, no permanent open flame, no smell, propane not likely to leak.

I am from Texas too and I have a river 2 pro but I don't believe it has the capability of doing a setup like this, though I do plan on buying a duel fuel generator. You think a setup like this would work with a generator and extension cords run throughout the house to power the AC? The generator would be far away from the AC and I have CO detectors just in case of course

What size of gas generator would work to charge the delta pro. Im concerned with the 1600w 15a input max for the delta pro. I haven't bought a gas generator yet but have saw many that had 120v 20 amp outlets. The delta pro has overload protection and i dont want to trip that.

I hadn’t cleaned my vent in probably 10 years and the dryer would shut off like others described. I used a leaf vac to suck from the outside and the blower from the inside and lots came out. The dryer worked fine for a few weeks then started to shut off again. I bought the vent kit at Lowe’s and cleaned it out again and used the blower and it’s been working. Hopefully I got it all out and the dryer will continue to work.

Hiw much you buy pay your Midea Freezer 7 Cu. Ft.?

I have the running snail radio, bought it on 2021, just tried to use it during a powercut and it only worked while plugged into a powerbank. The power is back so I've tried charging it and it doesn't hold charge. The battery is non removable so its defunct except whilst plugged into a powerbank, which isnt ideal as I go might need the power for my phone etc.

After Ida knocked out the grid for a few weeks, I got a pair of Delta Pros and a Double Voltage hub to run the house when it happens again. I haven't gotten the solar panels for charging yet, but they're on the list. Thanks for the video; great information and clearly presented.

Great channel, great video, awesome systems. I took some of your ideas. I haven’t looked through all the comments but f it hadn’t been mentioned a lot of people seem to forget to have the Grayl small lid open when compressing/ filtering. Without having the lid open it’s challenging. Crack that dude open and the filtering will be couch easier. I like that inexpensive tent on that is 3.5lbs . On the video it looked like your wife was seam sealing it. Did you use it and rain came inside? Now after it’s sealed it’s much better? They’re $48 bucks on Amazon currently.

Nice video. So, how are you protecting all this setup from an EMP?

Upgraded from my ancient Dynamo & solar Radio and got the Midland 310. I like the ability to power from three sources (sun, crank, & battery), large display and built-in clock. The ability to easily replace the lithium ion battery and to use alkaline batteries means more options for powering the radio. Nice to have in our mountain community that is prone to storm outages.
